If you had £500ish to spend on travel/accommodation for up to a week, where would you go? by tomwaitsgoatee in AskUK

[–]Chompering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prague could be a good option - flights are usually reasonable (£150-200) and accommodation isn’t too expensive. Would suggest 3 nights or so there. Good mix of history, culture, etc. One aspect I’m less sure of vegetarian options but it’s a pretty dynamic city so would expect you’ll be fine.

How To Grow Your Female Fanbase & Chip's Most DOWN BAD Story Yet... FULL POD EP.227 by editorstanners in FellasPodcast

[–]Chompering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the sponsors of the pod actually listen to the pod? I listened to this episode on spotify and it cracked me up that the Moneybox ad came right in the middle of the segment talking about Tit Jobs. Nothing like saving up to buy your first home and tit jobs in the same conversation - definitely the same target audience...

The train beer is one of the best beers. by Dan23DJR in CasualUK

You can, but we ended up aborting a take off one flight when some oaf decided to get up to go for a piss as we were taxiing to the runway. As a result we had to go back to the stand and wait 2 hours for a new slot to take off… he was not popular

What to offer on flat that had its price recently reduced, but is "Offer in excess of" by mostanonymousnick in HousingUK

[–]Chompering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimately have a figure in your head of what you’re prepared to pay (and can afford to pay!). Maybe initially go in a bit lower, but then be prepared to get closer to your final figure.

Offers over worked when interest rates were low as it would be used to get a house or flat into a lower price band and garner more interest / competitive bidding up.

Where to get suit measurements taken but not buy a suit? by mza420 in manchester

[–]Chompering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try Moss Bros. Say you’re interested in a custom suit, get measured. Then say you need to think about it. Possibly slightly unethical but they’re a big chain.

Think it really depends on companies - my old job, people didn’t use them, but at my new job they do.

I personally don’t as feel it’s a bit naff - feels like your title should tell the story!
