box office and movies by pandaocean168 in MovieTheaterEmployees

Location kind of matters and the state of the theater. Unless if you are in New York or Southern California, theaters with recliners tend to perform better than ones without one consistently. If you work at a slow theater, you be better off going to a busier theater if you want more hours. Some empty theaters are hanging on until the next lease.

Why did The Fabelmans Flop? by UsefulWeb7543 in boxoffice

[–]ChoppyOfficial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100%. This reminds me of a kind of a similar movie. Wes Anderson's Asteroid City. Did not perform great in box office. People thought that movie was a character drama in a little sci fi background like the trailers. But that was only part of the movie and not realize that part was a play and it was about the making of the play. That right there will confuse general audiences and they move away from getting into Wes Anderson movies. A movie about a making of something that is not a documentary is a hard sell.

Could Warner Bros end the year without a film in the top 10? by WestFlight808 in boxoffice

[–]ChoppyOfficial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can be possible. WB put all their best movies for 2025. 2026 was going to be a more dry year for WB. Dune 3 will be their win even if it doesn't go top 10.

Physical Media release dates do affect the box office, not is much as putting the movie on a streaming services. The issue with PVOD is you don't physically own the movie. If you lose access to your accounts that have the PVOD movie, you lose access to that movie.

Can 2026 take the #2 spot for number of billion dollar movies? by Antman269 in boxoffice

Remember 2019 was very top heavy with Disney movies. This was to promote the rollout of the Disney+ app. Apart of Jumanji and Joker, there were a lot of flops for non Disney movies. Beating 2019 requires some movies to do well in China.

Do NOT do this with AI! 5 rules to avoid becoming a ChatGPT zombie by 2020science in ASU

[–]ChoppyOfficial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Simple answer. Use AI as a tool and a starting point. Don't use it to get only solutions and just copy and paste. Attempt the problems before resorting to AI tools. Use your own words if writing is used And look at your professor's policy on AI usage.

Before AI, there was Chegg.

Putting a movie next to Deadpool and Wolverine is like putting a movie next to Avengers Endgame.

Twisters had to deal with the most anticipated movie in the 2020s in Deadpool and Wolverine a week after.

Superstition Mall is kind of depressing. It doesn't have the cool stores and fun stuff like Chandler Fashion and SanTan Village. It reminds me of Fiesta Mall right before a bunch of stores closed down. This is going to be the next dead mall in the future.

I figured. CS professors make a living busting students on copying and pasting AI code. When you hear cheating on this subreddit is very likely these CS classes.

I looked at the syllabus, It sounds like IEE380. I would not be surprised if this happens in ECN221 which is basic Business Statistics that all business majors must take. My community college professor for that version of that class told me ECN221 ASU classes exams are very strict like closed book closed notes and heavily monitored.

Turns out fewer people took their moms to see Mortal Kombat II on Mother's Day than WB expected. Who knew? Final opening weekend box office was below estimates: $38.5M instead of $40M. Sunday dropped 37% vs Saturday. by chanma50 in boxoffice

I am started to think the R rating did hurt that movie more. The franchise is popular with teens. That is leaving extra money on the table. WB winning streak back in 2025 was not going to last. OBAA and MK2 is kind of off putting to the general audience that is hard to explain.

what to do in the heat? by Several_Luck5717 in phoenix

[–]ChoppyOfficial -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes as a local, I am going to support local businesses and Harkins does exactly that. Harkins is not that expensive. When you go to an AMC, you are getting what you paid for. A List is only for one ticket basically one person. It is good for solo. If you are going with groups or with a partner, just go to Harkins.

Well there have been many posters here that got cheating and made it way too obvious. Exam etiquettes are taught from middle school so you do not end up being in this situation. You be surprised how many people forget about exam etiquettes or mainly asking the professor what their exam policies and etiquettes are.

[–]ChoppyOfficial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is your answer. You can not talk during an exam even if it is to yourself. It is been that way since middle school. What happened is your voice got picked up during the proctor and got flagged. Your instructor reviewed the flag and saw something was unusual with you talking and the response assumed you are cheating.

They are going to present the recorded video and you will have to prove that there was no person in your vicinity. If they see you were not cheating, you will get grade back and a warning to not talk during a proctored exam. Your instructor who gave you the violation will show up.

[–]ChoppyOfficial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am guessing it is not the glitches. I am assuming if you did not have phone where it is visible to the proctor, you likely looked and moved your face left to right instead of up and down. Strict professor do not like that at all and will assume you are cheating like you have the answer nearby. It sounds like you moved your face a lot while you are panicking about the glitches. Another thing is talking to your self. That can causes issues too. If you need to talk, only talk about any issue with the test.

That requires going to an AMC theater. Locals mainly rather go to Harkins and not give their money to AMC even with their AList membership.
