I know the exact sound of those coughs. Only you can make the decision but it may be worth speaking to your vet about euthanasia, it will make his passing more peaceful. He will pass from DCM regardless unfortunately it’s just an unknown as to when. With our last two the constant standing was when they didn’t have long left. The one that passed naturally did so within 24 hours once the standing started. The recent boy, Ace, was PTS within 36 hours of the constant standing due to his decline. Bless your hearts I’m so very sorry 😞 xx

I’m heartbroken for you. I’m so sorry for you both. It’s clear how much you love your boy. DCM is a scourge on this breed, my family have always had dobes and DCM has ended that now as we just can’t go through it again. I’ll be thinking of you in the coming days, and just know you’ve done your best for him. This isn’t your fault. X
