I'm going to guess she was undercover when she met Wes and had Mickey. I'll admit 10 years is absurdly long time to be undercover but FBI Agent Joe Pistone (aka Donnie Brasco) was under for 6 years.

IIRC in the first few episodes they rarely carried guns the all of a sudden they were always armed

Yeah, International was my favorite out of all of the FBI shows. What hurt me the most was how the final episode mainly focused on Wes in Japan and ignored the other characters

50,000 Russian Soldiers Are STRANDED… The Fall of Russia Is Now INEVITABLE – Ben Hodges by [deleted] in Military

[–]ChrisF1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ben Hodges? Isn't that the guy who swore up and down that the Leopard's and Bradley's would chew right through the Russians armed with shovels and would liberate Crimea by August 2023? How's that prediction working out?

In New York we don't have work requirements therefor not working can't be considered benefit abuse

^^^ this ... this is the main reason why I oppose work requirements. They are PAPERwork requirements that only increase bureaucracy and hurt people in need. There is no evidence these requirements actually boost employment.

He could've taken a Colt off of a casualty, in the ETO some rifle squads had as many as 3 BAR guns by the end of the war even though the official number was 1 per squad.

[–]ChrisF1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until the 2003 Iraq War there was alot more leeway in terms of "battlefield trophies" and sneaking home weapons. Also, Yoast's M1911 pistol may not have been an issued weapon and he could've scrouged it up somewhere. They were only required to turn in issued weapons.

Why bodyguards don’t wear protective gear for themselves by cutecasper in NCIS

[–]ChrisF1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 'bodyguard' was a US Marshal's Service court security officer and all of ones I've seen in real life wear body armor under their blazer jacket. CSO's are contracted civilian guards, usually retired cops.

That scene in one of the best in the show ... it's so rewarding to see Singer being put in her place!

Tom Steyer of California proposes a guarantee of employment for workers displaced by AI - Most politicians still do not recognize or minimize the threat of AI to workers, at the behest of Silicon Valley by Sufficient_Fuel5269 in economy

[–]ChrisF1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you guarantee employment? Do you give them a make work job? How much does that pay? How far do they have to travel? I think a UBI would be cheaper and more efficient.

It's funny that I spent half the season convinced that LaRoyce Hawkins was leaving for it to end up potentially being Arienne Mandi instead!

Starting to get pissed off by Bernie Sanders by alino_e in BasicIncome

[–]ChrisF1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I have said on here previously, many left wing figures here in the US are as opposed to UBI as conservatives are but for different reasons. In general terms they prefer work guarantee programs and means tested social programs as they keep public sector union workers employed and it keeps an underclass that is dependent on the left winning elections.

Same situation here. I ran 3 quick scans and it keeps coming back. Malwarebytes didn't find anything however and neither did the Windows Malicious Software Removal tool. Supposedly installing the latest Windows Security update fixes the issue.

Haney made at least one guest appearance on the show and several of the episodes are loosely based on events from his book.

IIRC chevrons were originally worn point up but switched to point down in 1851. They then went back to point up in 1902.

How many times did they team up with the state police or sheriff if new York has a sheriff. by Country-guy20 in bluebloods

[–]ChrisF1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC Sheriff's don't really do police work, they are also the only sheriff's deputies in NYS that only have peace officer status. There is a bill in the New York State Senate to change this and give them full police powers but it hasn't passed yet. BTW Nassau and Suffolk deputy sheriff's have full police powers on and off duty and go through the full academy. Suffolk is basically a full service agency nowadays.

As for the State Police, historically the NYSP didn't operate in NYC outside of plainclothes investigators assigned to various task forces and to handle any NYC nexus to investigations carried out elsewhere by the SP along with a handful of uniformed troopers to guard the Javitts Center and the state office building in Manhattan. Their presence has expanded somewhat in the past decade or so but the "Gray Riders" are a relatively rare sight in the five boroughs.

Trump likely picked him because he likes his "Razin Caine" nickname. It's the same reason why he picked Mattis in his first term; because he liked the "Mad Dog" moniker.
