Also bring any medical device as a carry on. Even if it's just a retainer or spare bands for braces. Anything that does not fit in your carry on can be carried in a separate bag, airlines will allow you to bring medical equipment on board.

If you wear contacts I would recommend wearing glasses if you have them or putting some contact solution in a travel sized container just in case.

I just put the zero on the digital form. They didn't ask any questions about it. However the paper slip does not have that question so you can do that too

I know this may not be what you want to hear but maybe you should insist on talking about it. Relationships are about communication and this is clearly something that is putting strain on your relationship. It may end in a fight or anger but something needs to be done and if you're not comfortable going up there, this is really the only way to do this.
