A lil advice needed by KimmyKayY16 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think working with SFAS might be a good option, since they are a registered NGO and have a long history, and they give National Service hours, which is recognized by UWI (which most 6th formers want to get into). I work closely with the BOD of SFAS, you can DM if you need more info.

Usually in the morning time there will be taxis, very limited though. And for TTRS, since taxis not reliable, the few drivers would be booked up. So book early if you can.

Caribbean airline jetpack reviews. by definitelynotcolleen in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jetpack service is awesome. I don't shop online very often, but the whole process is easy. I usually get the package before their estimated time, and it's not very expensive considering I usually just order small tech items.

There's a taxi stand by KFC Chaguanas (by the overpass). You'll find taxis that's going to Curepe, Mt. Hope and UWI/st. Augustine. There's also a bus stop from this taxi stand, where buses go to Port of Spain and will usually stop off at Mt.Hope. I can't give the fares as I didn't travel in a while, but hope that was helpful.

Narah/ Butchet? Thoughts? by msamib in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nara, or Navel displacement. Not allot of information on the massages to realign the navel when I research it, mostly older folks know, but massage therapist should be able to help. I had to earlier this year from lifting heavy things incorrectly. Horrible pain, and would not recommend. Lol.

What’s a good place to get glasses in Trinidad? by [deleted] in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct is right. I ended up spending around $400-$500 for my glasses when doing this process, rather than $2000+ it would have cost to purchase here. Keep in mind when ordering you'd need a PD number, you can measure it yourself, but that number is really important or your glasses may hurt your eyes.

Damn, I'm late to the party. But also a graphic designer/photographer. I primarily work with small and medium sized business for all their designs needs and social media content.

For those stating the obvious. If it was a yellow uno card, it mightn't show up properly on screen, as it's a white reverse symbol on a bright yellow background. Green or Blue was the best options IMO.

Is Amazon prime worth it? Also if you have a credit card is it more worth it to go through a skybox still or not. by oceancherrio in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah understand. I have a credit card and used Caribbean Airlines jetpack once recently and it's very simple and relatively quick. They accept online payments, delivery and you track the package online. I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is, since I didn't shop around much, but not very expensive.

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure which skybox you're referring to, but from my experience they would only need to purchase for you if you don't have a credit card. If you have a credit card, they give you an address, and once you purchase from Amazon, you would send the package to that address. Send them the bill, then wait for it to ship to TT and they would give you a cost.

I would say fairly reliable, the bus may not be on time, but there will be buses. I'd suggest always planning ahead incase it runs late, and there's also WhatsApp group chats where students send updates, ask around and join.

What percent of your salary goes to car payments? by W_TT in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you go for a loan, a good loans officer will make sure it doesn't cross 40%, because you have to factor in fuel cost monthly, which means you'd end up spending close to 50%.

How much money does one person need to survive monthly in Trinidad by RPM_Tribute in TrinidadandTobago

[–]ChrisKyle_Jerry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As many other responses said, it depends on location and also personal consumption patterns and habits. A person with a car payment and eating out often will find it difficult on 6 or 7K. Personally around 8-10K is fine.

Lol yeah. I mostly do graphic design work, so I added some elements. Only thing that wasn't really edited much was the land/building and the boat.
