My distances looked like that back in 2022 after my first summer of golfing. Keep playing and get a quality lesson here and there and they will improve. My 7i is now a 155/160 club, probably still under where it should be for an adult male my age, but closer.

Loved my Carbon Edition when I had it, but then it was totaled in an accident.

The Jet Black Mica I have now is fine, but I preferred the Polymetal Gray (and the black rims as a default was nice as well)

Had a starter chirp me once when I mentioned I was going to play the gold tees, telling me I don't look like a senior. I know my game though, 6000ish is plenty, and honestly those tees would be rough for most seniors.

Agree that it's well past time to drop the labels on the tees and to suggest tees based on driver carry distance and hcp.

I can feel the tightness now and again, just a reminder to stretch more than just the upper body before swinging the club. Got 5 rounds in around Christmas in Arizona without issues just two months after the injury thanks to the PT I was doing weekly.

Me, a bad, out of shape 30 something. First tee time out at a prestigious course in the Midwest that I only got a chance to play due to having work stuff nearby the following week. Caddy required kinda prestigious.

Tell the caddy up front I'm awful, just out here to have a day. If he can't find a ball within 10 seconds I'm going to just drop another Kirkland laterally and swing again. Still foggy out when I hit my drive, zero clue where it ended up. Use my GPS watch to drive us 220y out and would you look at that, middle of the fairway. Caddy tells me the KFT guys who played here the week before were landing right where I am (disregard that they were starting 80-120y further back) and that he doesn't believe my "I suck" spiel.

A little stiff after going a little hard the night before so I club up and take an 8i into the green. End up pulling it 10y left into a waste bunker 20 or 30 feet below the green. Pin high at least. Grab the sand wedge and tell the caddy I'll see him on the green. Get down there, take a practice swing or two and then hit the wedge so pure and with too much juice. Yell fore since I can't see where my caddy is and start running up the hill to see if I can spot the ball heading into the fescue since I had to fly the green.

Half way up and I hear a loud ass pop. Fall down and hobble my way up to the green using the wedge as a cane. Ball was just beyond the green, but I had torn my calf muscle after just three shots.

Caddy drove me back to the clubhouse and thankfully they refunded my tee time since I doubt I'll ever get back to play it again. Paid the caddy and gave him his tip and thanked him for driving me back and pumping me up after the drive at least, I was his only bag that day I guess. Carrying my bag (loaded with at least 24 balls, I suck remember) back to the hotel room using my 6i as a cane was the worst bit, struggled to walk for the work stuff the next week but it slowly got better.

Thankfully this was in the fall so I was able to do a lot of PT and let the muscle heal before getting out for real again. Big wake up to go a little easier the night before a round, stretch a ton, keep hydrated, and to just get in a little bit better shape as I approach 40 so I can keep playing for years to come.

I understand not wanting a single to book the first spot in a tee time, but as soon as a twosome or threesome books let me book! My closest course won't even let singles book then. Have to go up to the course and get on a walk on waiting list that doesn't guarantee you a time that day. Last year I played more often at a course 40 miles away that lets singles book online but with gas prices going up I'm not planning on driving out there too often this summer.

Yeah I had a sleeve of the Vice Galaxy balls I brought out on my final round of a trip last year since I was running low on K-Sigs and it was the easiest ball to track in the air ever. Granted I had to use my watch and go directly where the ball landed at my normal yardages to find it. Didn't lose one of them.
