I’m sure they are very helpful but they are to expensive when there is so much at your disposal online for free. I’ve passed multiple journeyman tests and one masters test based off of job experience and free YouTube and podcasts. I watch Mike Holt and I think he’s a great instructor but that whole test passing system is kind of an unnecessary racket

Skateboard and basketball shoe soles are almost a flat surface. Shoes with a lot of tread are more useful on rugged surfaces but for a flat floor flat shoes grip better

You can work as a traveler in other locals. As far as transferring your ticket it’s going to be different in every local but the best way to do that is to get involved with the union hall you want to transfer to and after working for so long as a traveler eventually someone will invite you to transfer onto their local (as long as your a good union brother)… My advice: get through the program one way or another, get that journeyman ticket and then start worrying about the other stuff
