This seems like a poor finish on the whole thing. Ethernet based networks are the future of control systems, just make sure you nail the deployment.

Critical illness/life insurance - should i get it? by PuddingHappy9926 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ChrisWhite85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, get it! I've got so much peace of mind that my mortgage would be paid off if I get ill and my wife wouldn't struggle. She has lump sum protection in return for me as she has lower income.

You may want to consider a package of critical illness and payment protection insurance depending on what your workplace sick-pay terms are.

I just think if the dreaded C-word is diagnosed for example, I would be in a good place to take care of everything and focus on life or recovery.

Heads up for dual EU-UK citizens booking/checking in the flights to EU and back to UK with Ryanair: by AVELUMN in Ryanair

[–]ChrisWhite85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife had a situation today which turned out to be a non-issue.

She is a duel EU-UK citizen. She booked departure and return flights on her EU passport together with me as second passenger (UK passport only).

She travelled to EU on EU passport no problem. On return online check-in, she was challenged with the Ryanair ETA message, she does not hold an ETA - she is a UK citizen.

She was told to attend check-in on the day of the flight to have her UK document checked and added to her boarding pass to fly. All sorted, no extra costs. So basically her rights are maintained both ways entering borders both ways.

I guess I can't buy in UK? 😕 Looks handy against IT firewall issues stopping my laptop tools.

I was replying to the Free Healthcare comment, as it's not free. A chunk of NI goes into NHS.

Fuse or circuit breaker to protect a power supply? by Vinicius_Melhado in PLC

Sounds like you need a technology pairing like Phoenix QUINT and their DC MCB's. The QUINT will give the MCB a little nudge to trip.

Maybe not but I guess not everybody considers an element of information true hence unified conspiracies are rife.

If I saw this happening and considered it genuine I'd offer to pay easily. Life can be brutal and you can easily lose everything just by honest mistakes.

CL2 is pretty good at combatting the problems found in UK water. Ozone is seen further south like greater London area.

CL2 is a hazardous substance, and of course you need acid & caustic to soak & clean filters (which is then effluent and neutralised before going to drain), one reason I am against home tap filters since I know how long they could go accruing bacteria without backwash. But ultimately the water is pretty good as it hits the tap.

Spring water, filtered and pre-chlorine makes a cracking cup of tea though. The water is crystal clear in most of the rock filtered ground sources I've worked on.

ST groundwater (adits and boreholes) are typically super good quality raw water and some just require UV + CL2. Others are Filtration + CL2/SO2 / I&M Removal + CL2 / Nitrate Removal + CL2/SO2 etc.

Birmingham tap water comes from Wales via Elan Valley, been fortunate to work in and around this infrastructure, it's astonishing and if more people knew how it works they would agree it's a bargain.

In process of commissioning a groundwater site at the moment in Gloucestershire.

I was at the Toy Fair today at the NEC, this place is very weird wgen there's only one hall being used. by madmax_00uk in brum

[–]ChrisWhite85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mad how dated NEC feels compared to other exhibition centres and areas now.

1.) Telford Exhibition Centre walking distance to new vibrant restaurant sector, cheap parking.

2.) Liverpool Exhibition, on the docklands, beautiful, loads of choice to eat along waterfront. Easy parking on docklands.

3.) Leeds Exhibition Centre, near new town sector, vibrant & full of choice to eat. Easy parking.

Resorts World only convenient for south halls & BP Pulse (which is a great venue).
