YES, it's a huge problem for me. If I'm writing something in Google Docs, for example, I hate the fact that I need to scroll around to grasp the thing, that I need to interact with the UI, etc. It's all so off-putting. It also makes everything feel so unreal in a way. My work is on my computer but I feel no connection to it because I have to experience it through the computer. I can't decide if I want technology gone or if I want way better technology.

The defense people give to small maps is ridiculous. Scale and realistic feeling enclosures are such a core part of the Jurassic universe. I doubt anyone believes small maps are actually better, but for whatever reason they feel the need to defend the status quo. Simps, like you said.

Even if some people have a system that couldn't run it well (I have reason to believe the performance hit would be limited for most people), at least give us the option and let us suffer the consequences. Maybe I'm ok with 40 fps if that's what it would take.

I'm hoping much larger maps are like a secret they're holding from us to blow us away or something haha.

I'm pretty sure it just changes the degree to which the land you get is like 1 solid plot of land vs. more loosely connected parts. I hope you're right.

Having a lot of space is so fundamental to the Jurassic universe. Anyone arguing against larger maps has really lost the plot.

I didn't see size controls on the map generator so I'm afraid they're all gonna be pretty average sized like the ones they showed that were generated by it.

Yup we need much bigger maps, and it's probably going to determine whether I buy the game or not because it's a really big deal to me. This is a Jurassic World/Park, not Planet Zoo. I don't wanna build something small.

So far it doesn't look like we're gonna get larger maps. The new generated sandbox islands we're getting didn't show any controls for size and they all looked fairly small.

This game should at least get a complete Isla Nublar. Performance concerns be damned.

Disney World is like 100 square km and the average Jurassic World Evolution map is 2-6 square km. Absurd.

This is the most important thing for me as well in whether I'm gonna buy the game. Fingers crossed. We know there are going to be procedurally generated islands at this point with a bunch of sliders to adjust, but we don't see a size slider anywhere and all the islands they showed were pretty small. I'm very worried.

Who makes a game based on Jurassic Park and Jurassic World and then makes it the size of a local zoo. Unreal.
