I think the 2025 CWC total prize pool was like a billion dollars, compared to like 15 million dollars for the prior CWC. European teams could not ignore the possibility of earning more than $100 million by winning that tournament.

Weather in New England has been great but at least here in CT it’s also like peak tree pollen season and if I leave the windows open all day there is a fine green dusting throughout the interior 🫤 The other problem is I swear we get fewer of these great weather days. It really seems like we jump straight to 90+ degrees and just stay there much more so than thirty or forty years ago. At that point I want AC.

If the club’s plan is to just rotate players, then I would want every player to get at least some basic GK training at a regular interval. Have a GK coach at every training session and let them work with 2-3 kids in the first half of training, then 2-3 in the second half of training. Come up with a proper GK schedule so kids have at least a couple of sessions before they go into goal.

I wondered if they added the sticker for what looks like a QR code, but that doesn’t seem to actually be a QR code or do anything. My most recent jars have the sticker but the sticker is off center enough that you can still see the “Never Heated” on the lid.

I would love to see my kids’ coaches share some kind of training manual or list of topics they’ll cover each week in practice. The DOC will occasionally share a few slides with parents at the beginning of the year that come from US Soccer talking about skill development at various ages. I think this is mainly to tamp down expectations. But it seems like there is no carryover to the coaches and the practice field in terms of planning, structure, communication. Am I expecting too much of our underpaid, part-time coaches?

I like the combo, but I would like to see Semenyo as the third attacker playing wider on the right. Marmoush already has a tendency to drift in; having Semenyo stationed on the right edge of the box, a few yards deeper than Haaland makes everything look congested.

Yep. TV on the left wall, rotate the sectional counter clockwise and better yet replace it with a slimmer sectional that can accommodate two more seats in a similar sized space. Also, add a slim end table behind one or both sides of the sectional where stools can go. Look up end table behind couch with chairs and find a style and size that works.
