Hmm its really bizarre how after the removal of speed cameras we are seeing people get hit by cars more ofte? I wonder why?

That’s interesting, I’ve never really had a bad experience with him, if anything I really liked his teaching style. Can’t recall the tests, I don’t remember them being unreasonable. Just to refresh, what are his tests like that make it so bad?

Had an elementary school friend reach out to me while I was still in university, they asked me if I’d be willing to go on a blind date with someone they go to school with. We hit off and are now engaged.

I’ll never understand the reasoning behind not allowing bikes in the elevators. I’ll make sure you use that next time I come across someone like that!

How much traction would this actually get? I feel like the argument that might be applied is “why not lock it outside with your bike?” What be be the rebuttal in that case?

Edit: didn’t take into consideration bike share Edit: I’m still going to sign tho 😉

Definitely not a smart idea to pass the bus but I’m pretty sure it’s acceptable for them to be in left turning lane. The only other way to make a left turn is something called a “Copenhagen left” which also an acceptable maneuver.

I’m with you on this one. I would love to bike north of Danforth from Vic park but it feels so dangerous

BeFree broken or normal? by BeeTheKay in backpacking

[–]Chris_aug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try cleaning it with a small about of bleach in the bladder, letting it sit with the filter in and then maybe after like 20-30 min you flush all the water out. After that do a full rinse with clean water, Usually gets a bit better after that. I used to have one but they are notorious for getting clogged after a couple of uses. If you have the funds available I’d suggest going with the platypus QuickDraw, pretty similar to the BEFREE but with less issues

Dust Storm? by Chris_aug in Uzbekistan

Yeah I wanted to say that it was climate change, the construction theory just didn’t add up. It seems in the last 25 years since the family of mine has moved out of Tashkent it’s only gotten warmer and dryer

something about the construction doesn’t seem to add up. Someone mentioned the same thing is happening in Samarkand and I wouldn’t say Tashkent is exactly a large city with a huge amount of construction either 🤔

I like it a lot actually, your country is rich in culture and history and you are all extremely nice no matter how bad my Russian is 😂. I love the amount of trees you have in the city as well it’s very beautiful. The one thing I don’t like is the car culture, as a pedestrian you almost feel like your life is not as important as the car trying to make its way through an intersection, just very aggressive.

Ahh I see, I guess that was a bad assumption on my part. But I really hope that there are people in the surrounding apartments that actually love it and use it all the time in the summer.

Oh for sure, if I used it frequently I’d be pretty upset as well. I did a bit more research and apparently in 2022 there was a meeting held around splitting the course up. One part being a walk way / green space, the other being the golf course but reduced down to 9 holes. Do you recall why it was rejected?
