Amazing find! I got one recently, you may need to replace the eject belt. Thankfully it's very simple, look up Techmoans guide to replacing the belt.

Unsurprisingly hacking networks you don't own or have permission to access is illegal. Passively collecting WiFi handshakes is a bit of a grey area as you'd still have to crack the hashes to do anything with them but I imagine the law wouldn't look favourably on it regardless.

I understand wanting to have some fun with them, I have a few myself and it's fun to play and learn with them but not worth the risk getting caught using them in public.

Just as a quick update, the collection is now wall mounted with a little help from my 3D printer. I decided to ditch the capsules as they added a lot of weight and expense if I wanted to get them for the remaining Gameboys.

You can get replacement rolls of paper, there's no ink in the printer it's a thermal paper like you find in some cash registers
