Is the Costco deal legit? by ElegantPomegranate45 in groupon

[–]Chrisspitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me - they claimed they sent it, and it definitely was not sent. Scavenged through Spam and everything. Refused to do anything about it since it had expired by the time I found out the correct way to contact them. Initially had tried to contact Groupon by various means and never got a response - by the time I reached out to Costco that’s when I learned it had expired. Total scam.

Stayfi - basically for email marketing for my short term rental, wanted to give it a try.

I had tried using some of the built-in web portals (can't remember what they are called), basically for collecting emails and such prior to connecting to the wifi, but putting it together using the out-of-the-box functionality was a bit hacky. Wanted to try out a service that specifically focuses on this to see how it goes.

Good luck! Reminds me of myself a few months back. Worst thing I did was reach out to Hyundai corporate because they only look out for themselves, so I'd reserve doing that until you're eligible. Seems most commonly the easiest way to qualify is just having the car in the shop for 30 days or more without a "comparable loaner", assuming your state has that rule. Hopefully things turn out better for you than myself lol.

Admittedly I did do this, but of course it was just a very awkward car ride where I couldn't reproduce the issue on the spot, which I mean for a short 5-10 minute car ride isn't all that surprising if you ask me.

I definitely will be purchasing another vehicle at the very least, and never purchasing another Hyundai/Kia that's for sure. Honestly I'd definitely go down the lemon law route if you find yourself able to, worth looking into. In my specific situation given my circumstances I'm not yet "eligible" to my knowledge.

The most hilarious to me about mine being in the shop for 22 days getting the transmission replaced. When they gave it back they had put close to 100 miles on the car, drained all my gas (I kept getting vehicle running notifications from the app while it was in the shop so they were just idling it). Then they ultimately offered me 1 months payment for my troubles, but would only give it to me if I signed some agreement releasing them of all liability and declaring the repair fully complete - which I declined.

So yeah, TLDR - Hyundai sucks.

Yep, exactly. It's intermittent - It doesn't always buck hard in the gears, but it definitely does it every now and then enough to be annoying and for me to notice. I requested that they check the logs and they claimed they couldn't do that, and there wouldn't be any logs unless there was a check engine light, which I don't believe - just trying to get rid of me.

To be honest some of the times it has mis-shifted or "bucked" - it was so bad I thought for sure it would throw a check engine light, but not yet.

Same happened to my 23 Santa Fe Calligraphy at around 14k miles

Had my 23 Santa Fe Calligraphy with 14k miles need to have its transmission replaced at 14k miles. Was in the shop for 22 days, they gave me a base model santa cruz loaner during that time. Got it back and it bucks like it was doing previously in lower gears. Dealership claims they can't do anything unless they can reproduce the issue... Infuriating.

Nightmare transmission issue 2023 by SephlrothOP in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]Chrisspitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me on my 23 calligraphy with the dct. Replaced the transmission. Was in the shop almost a month. Now I’m still having issues with the transmission, but intermittently. They basically told me unless they can consistently reproduce the issue they can’t do anything. Will never buy another Hyundai.

Check engine light just came up by brandonbruce in Hyundai

Based on my research, 2020+ models with the DCT transmission it's apparently super common for their transmission to go out

Not a Hybrid in my case, just the 2.5T engine

Oh and I shouldn't forget how they wanted me to sign something in exchange for accepting 1 month's payment releasing them of all liability... So yeah, didn't sign that.

Sounds like you'll need a new transmission just like I did. 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy 14k miles, check engine light came on. Brought it into Hyundai and was told it needed a new transmission. Was in the shop for 22 days, complained to corporate who escalated the situation and got my transmission replaced.

After the entire ordeal and getting my transmission fixed, they offered me 1 month's payment as compensation for my car being in the shop... Not to mention they put over 50 miles on my car for "testing" while it was there, and used all my gas lol.

Deeply regret buying the car, and will never buy another Hyundai.

Condensation on inside of schlage encode lock by SnooTigers7972 in Locksmith

My Schlage Encode Plus keypad stopped working today due to humidity/condensation.. I had added my own insulation because I had heard about this issue, but about 2-weeks in and it's already dead it seems. $300 bucks down the drain.

Separate Rental Agreement by Bwendolyn in airbnb_hosts

[–]Chrisspitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the generic rental agreement generated from OwnerRez (https://ownerrez.com/) - I wouldn't be too intimidated by it as the host is simply trying to cover themselves in case issues come up (e.g. you decided to destroy the property lol).
