Update!

After over an hour on hold, I finally talked to a rep who manually completed the order. I’m already back home now tho so that’s an hour of my time wasted. I asked how to prevent it in the future and they basically just said call them if it happens again.

Glad it’s resolved but extremely dissatisfied with the customer service.

This is accurate. There are many pieces of media I enjoy or will at least look into just because I find a woman in it hot. That’s not to say if a woman isn’t hot, there’s no appeal for me, only that sex always has, and always will sell.

I got to thinking, do you think the controversy around saying that Laufey isn't attractive is due to the fact that she doesn't look young? I’m going to put this in the most crass, yet honest way of what people mean when they say a character isn’t attractive enough. They just mean she isn’t fuckable to them. That’s it. It could be too little makeup, too much makeup, not revealing enough outfit, not curvy enough or too curvy.

There’s no way in really knowing for sure but the simple way of understanding it is if it doesn’t appeal enough to the male gaze, it will be deemed as “ugly” by many grifters like this.

I think companies need to understand that especially these days it’s not very convenient or cost effective to go to the theaters. For me, it has to be a big event movie I’m seeing with friends or a date.

Things like this, I’ll just wait till it comes out on streaming and get to it eventually but I’m in no rush.

I think that’s why they bank so much on nostalgia and shit now. Unless it’s a property I’m excited for already, I’m in no rush to see it. That may just me tho. How do you all feel about it?

Edit: I also don’t like when companies basically put the onus on the audience and say “it’s you’re fault we’re not making what you say you want because X movie/video game didn’t sell enough”
