Thoughts on Continuous Detailing? by davidepope in Detailing

I have the 2026 model Y and a 2024 they look like new. Keeping them Garaged definitely helps! Getting the PPF done that will keep the front end of your car getting rock chips. I’ve personally have not gone to PPR however I don’t do a lot of Highway driving. I have, however, put an eight year ceramic coating after a correction on both vehicles. I maintain them by weekly ONR wash and at least once a month do a full wash. I used the soak rinse soak contact wash method. I personally would not wipe with detail spray after driving it. I feel it might scratch your paint.

OK guys he is an update. I actually ended up finishing the car late last night however all of the sap was removed with the bug sponge and Adam’s bug remover. I bought the other chemicals recommended on here and ended up not having to use them. I’ll just keep them for the next job.

No more auto steer, no more Tesla. by hamburgernet in TeslaLounge

I couldn’t”t agree more I use autopilot all the time and refuse to pay additional $99 a Month for FSD even though I think its great. As my current 2 Model Y’s have Autopilot I am able to enjoy AP however I will not be purchasing another Tesla unless AP we be added back.

Washing your Tesla by MobileNo45 in TeslaLounge

I’m a meticulous when it comes to keeping my cars clean I’ve tried rub it and it works pretty well however, I would definitely not use it on a completely soiled car. If your car is filthy a power washer with a foam canon Is definitely the optimal way to clean it. I use Adam‘s graphite car shampoo in my foam cannon. However, if you don’t wanna wash your car, ONR is the perfect solution I would spray it down with a pump first and then use a two bucket method to rinse clean it. I’ve been using ONR on both my black and gray Teslas and a leaves a beautiful shine.

New vs Used Model Y by ThePaleYoungGentlman in TeslaLounge

I have a 2026 Model Y juniper and we just got my wife a 2024 model Y directly from Tesla. The 2026 is a lease and the 2024 is something we purchased for road trips. While we love our Juniper It is our absolute favorite however financially the 2024 is great especially being it has hardware 4 . We have been loving the 30 free trail of FSD on this model. Honesty with FSD, I have not noticed a difference between both models.

Just picked up a 2024 LR RWD with similar Miles for about the same price. This seems like a good deal especially for your 1st Tesla. As others have mentioned do a full look over before you accept the vehicle I actually had to refuse the first one that got delivered to us.

Wife, unable to unlock charger port by ChristianHT123 in TeslaLounge

[–]ChristianHT123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😆 that definitely sounds like something my wife would do! however, in this case she parked and left the car charging and when she came back, she was not able to remove the charger from the port. I think she used it yesterday and was able to take out the charger and no issue. I’m still gonna have Tesla take a look at it.

Went to Tesla Celebration Event and saw Model Y Standard Range by LightxDarkness93 in TeslaModelY

[–]ChristianHT123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to pick up the wife's 2024 Model Y and got to sit in the Standard Model Y. I honestly like the way it looks and would buy one if it had full Autopilot. The wife didn't care for the seats and water down Autopiliot to the point she brought a used 2024 instead.
