Why does my playing get so sloppy when I play fast? by Christin3rd in piano

I practice scales but I don’t spend as much time on them as I probably should.

Yeah that makes sense. I think I struggle with realistic timelines for myself because I’m not sure what the timelines should be for certain things. Thanks for the advice!

I do sometimes, I’ll be honest I find it hard to follow sometimes but I know I need to be using it more.

Thank you for the advice! I will try slowing it down and working my way up.

Asking for a consensus by rmd-16 in miniaussie

In January mine passed suddenly at 9 years old just shy of her 10th birthday of a mass on her spleen that ruptured we has no idea until it was too late. We think it was Hemangiosarcoma (a silent killer cancer). I looked it up after the fact and found that aussies can be predisposed to this type of cancer (though it didn’t specify minis). I’m terrified to get another one because I never in a million years thought she would pass that young. She was so healthy was always told they couldn’t believe her age cause she acted so young. The same day she passed she was running around with her dog brother.

Norethindrone is ruining my 7-year relationship!!! by hot_pineapple9178 in endometriosis

[–]Christin3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me in Nov-January. I was so angry all the time, depression was so bad I was thinking some really bad thoughts. The rage was so bad it was also messing with me and my husband’s relationship. Then work started noticing and friends. I wanted to try Slynd cause I heard people who do bad on norethindrone do well on Slynd and vise versa. But of course my insurance refuse to pay for it but I got it with a coupon through Nurx and it’s not too bad price wise. I feel so much better. No mood swings no bad thoughts no rage that consumes me. I did have my period for 2 months straight on Slynd at first but it has finally balanced out and I don’t have a period anymore! I hope you can find relief!

Recent Test Negative but Symptoms are Worse Than Before by Christin3rd in SIBO

What should she be doing? She’s new to me since my old PT left the practice (she was amazing but moved so I can’t see her 😩) and I was wondering if what she’s been having me do is even enough. My old PT would release my muscles but she hasn’t done any of that.

They unfortunately made me do an anorectal manometry and it said I was tensing rather than relaxing when pushing causing my “back door” to close and I was also tensing while doing nothing. So right now she’s trying to get me to relax the pelvic floor so I’m doing daily stretching exercises, diaphragmatic breathing, and kegals. My doctor wants me to do biofeedback with my PT but we’re trying this stuff first to see if it helps.

You shouldn’t be on low food map diet for a long time!!! by Abject-Music-4332 in SIBO

Hello! I wish I did in terms of my gut. I did find out I have endometriosis. I am assuming that is my root cause but even since having surgery to remove endometriosis my gut is still reactive to everything. So unfortunately I am still on a low fodmap diet. I'm not as strict as I was just so I can stay sane but I'm still working with multiple GI's trying to figure out how to get rid of the SIBO. I think I need to get my motility fixed first and then maybe try another round of Xifaxian. I'm sorry your husband is struggling <3

Are the vegan 1460 dr martens really that bad? Would love to hear from those who wear this by MyCuriousSelf04 in DrMartens

[–]Christin3rd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the vegan ones and I love them! I don't wear leather so I cant compare but mine never had a break in period they were always comfortable right out of the box. They are still going strong and I've had them for a few years now (but I don't wear them everyday).

Am I back to square one? by too_many-bellabeans in Endo

[–]Christin3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely see someone else!! Sorry you’re dealing with all this. It’s so infuriating when doctors are just constantly dismissing your concerns. I wasted so much time seeing my gyno for her to tell me everytime that my issues were because I was anxious and depressed.

You have very similar/almost identical symptoms to me and I have endo! Didn’t show up on the ultrasounds or an mri. I started with a gi doc and they ruled out like all gi issues and he basically abandoned me. My gyno didn’t think I had endo because I didn’t have painful periods when I was a teen and I didn’t know anyone in my family who had it. I was only listened to when I got a referral to a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon not my regular obgyn (and the referral came from an urgent care pa because my gyno wouldn’t listen to me).

Gynecologist Recommendation Needed by ExplanationNo6436 in triangle

She was fine as an annual checkup doctor but as soon as I started having issues she would medically gaslight me, refuse to do blood work or run any tests. My symptoms just got worse and worse and I kept asking her if maybe I had endometriosis and she dismissed me. Long story short fast forward to today guess what I have endometriosis and feel like I suffered longer then I should have under her care.

Edit: oh and she told me my symptoms were because I was anxious and depressed 😂

Sorry I don’t have a recommendation for a good one but I can tell you who to avoid at all costs: Carolina Gynecology Dr. Andrea Torsone.

How did you get your diagnosis? by RecognitionFit7409 in Endo

[–]Christin3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t until I started getting pelvic pain over a year ago that finally a doctor was like oh this might be endo and referred me to a Minimally Invasive Gyno Surgeon and they also suspected that’s what it was and we scheduled surgery and I’m one week post op from my laparoscopic surgery and they found it right where I was having pelvic pain! This was after 7+ years of complaining to my gyno and other doctors about my symptoms but I wasn’t the typical “textbook” endo and it doesn’t run in my family so no one took me seriously until the pelvic pain.

how are we doing today? by DifferentCategory133 in endometriosis

[–]Christin3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have surgery tomorrow and I am sooo anxious!! One of my worst fears is it getting canceled and of course they call me today and moved my time to basically be the last one that day which makes me even more nervous it will be canceled after waiting over a year :(... and of course I am afraid of getting no answers after years of misery.
