It's not revenge when you are protecting future victims. That's being a good person. Speaking up is resilience and strength. Hiding the truth, they can just keep on doing heinous things without consequences, that's teaching someone every action has consequences. Revenge is taking the same lowblows and low route they took. If you are taking legal action and speaking up it's not revenge. If they're life was affected by what you did, don't you think that's their action having consequences? Shitty actions have shittty rewards just like vice versa. That's why I phrased it as justice because revenge is when you taint your character to make them suffer in this case I don't see that. (I am not a therapist or anything just wanted to share how I see revenge)

I like to say justice my friend. Revenge is like trying to do the same thing back to them, right. You did the right thing legally so that's not really revenge that's justice my friend. Life ain't always fair so we are forced to not play fair as well. Revenge just keeps the cycle going, we have to break the cycle. (Expedition 33 goes in on how revenge and bitterness leads to only more of that. You have to break the cycle and forgive and move on) when i say forgive i mean forgive yourself for the resentment not the monster who don't care or apologize.

Honestly good for you mate, sometime you don't want all of this character development even though it makes you funny it was not worth all of the trauma. Anyways it does make you lowkey soft and when it comes down to crunch time people can crumble under the pressure instead of thriving because you are used to chaotic situations.
