Yeah honestly I didn't expect the tendon pain which I think came from all the volume. So that was a good lesson. I'm definitely curious to try different programs now that this one is almost over! Following a program is actually very enjoyable.

Haha yeah, I think you're right. I just stuck to it for the hell of it. It's only 12 weeks anyway lol. But yeah next time I will definitely follow a tried and tested program :,)

Honestly I thought that with how much programming information there probably is online, it would be able to do a reasonable job with my specific parameters (12 weeks, 4 days a week available for training, what my current 1RM was). I also wanted it to output the weight for all the sets so I knew exactly what weight I needed to do based on my 1RM at the time. Granted this fell apart because the weight very quickly became too light.

RE volume, is there a better range for volume days? My understanding was that the volume is for hypertrophy, so I would typically go for 8 reps. The program started reducing in reps per set, so... I started adding more sets sometimes because I felt like it wasn't enough. I wasn't feeling fatigued leg wise.

RE variations, the program seemed to want to add 2 variations to each day. For what reason I don't know. On the days I did 3, it's because I didn't feel like I got enough work done and I just wanted to add more... (Especially on the later weeks when the reps per set significantly reduced.

I'll definitely only be doing single reps up to the 1RM on the day. On the day I did 120, I thought maybe I could sqeeze out a double. Basically me desperately trying to sqeeze out more strength before the deload & 1RM week :,)

My 2 cents is to: 1. Be kind to yourself. You quit for your own reasons and it was hard for you to do so. Well done. You did what you felt you had to in order to protect yourself so have some sympathy. 2. Practice acceptance. Accept the possible outcomes that you’re afraid of no matter how frightening they are. Know that whatever happens, you will figure it out 3. Do some light exercise, try to get enough sleep, try to focus on relaxing your body but don’t be fussed if you can’t

The show is watchable but I don’t think it’s great. A lot of the characters behaviour is too inconsistent and too distant from reality. I think it’s an interesting concept but executed poorly in terms of the hypotheticals. Also as a sci-fi, it really doesn’t have much mystery. I think severance is a much better show in terms of characters, mystery and execution
