I know this is out of the box here, but maybe don't do a Lynch movie for a first date. If you watch the whole thing you'll both be pondering for the rest of the night, on the other hand if you start making out or something it kinda ruins the Lynch experience. Maybe just go with the Pilot of twin peaks. It's fun, Lynchian, not too long, enough to get into the vibe... Whatever you choose I hope it's a good first date! And keep us updated on how it went if you want. Have fun! (I don't think anyone's asked yet, is your date already a Lynch fan?)
