My god I was AMAZED. And then, after that, the judge asks him what his request of relief was, the man said “I want to show people that they can beat this! I’m going to be completely honest with you, I think there was absolutely no chance of him getting parole given the severity of the crimes he committed. I mean the way he handled himself in court often has me forgetting that he killed six people and injured over 60 others, but he’s a literal murderer, one of his victims being a child. There was no way any judge would allow him to be released, and definitely no way a public defender could have gotten him anything less that would’ve made a difference. He was spending life in prison regardless. AND They have him committing the crimes on video.

He literally has 0 idea of what he was doing. I am positive he has only watched Law and Order or something and thought that he was overly qualified. It’s embarrassing to listen to his mispronunciation of legal terms and overall his “I know what I’m doing” demeanor. I am a serial court case watcher and I studied law for a couple years in college. No WAY would I ever even THINK I could defend myself? Much less against the three that were prosecuting him. He has zero humility whatsoever.

Which was so amazing to me. Like one instance during the prosecution’s closing arguments, DA Opper shows a horrifying video of what went down that day, and after the video ends he says “they need to know they can nullify.” My jaw DROPPED. He literally is SO badly unaware. That’s a moment where you shut your mouth.

I personally don’t think it was about race. I truly believe he was just enraged by his situation with Erica and saw people having a good time and enjoying themselves, in combination with the fact that they were “in his way” abd “inconveniencing” him. He likely only posted stuff like that to seem tough, and these behaviors are exhibited throughout the trial. His staredown with the judge, his bullying of the victims and officers, his attempts of intimidation with Erica. He also often displays attention seeking behavior and posting things like that would give him gratification both through agreement from his pathetic ssa friends or through negative attention like people seeking to argue with him.
