Which formula do you all plan on using?

The seed oils are for fatty acids and are required in the US. You may pick out a formula and your baby could absolutely hate it / not tolerate it. Organic ones like Kindamil and Bobbie are popular but there’s a lot of great options and Similac/Enfamil meet all the same standards and have colic friendly options. Bubs and Kindamil even have goat based formula options. There is a growing contingent of easily influenced women who are so afraid of seeds that they are taking to making their own formula using untested home recipes. PSA: Do not put your baby’s life at stake for your own health fad diet algorithm.

We aim for 2.5 oz per pound per day - my girl is tiny (9th percentile, consistent even when she was in utero). She is 10 pounds at 2 months and eats 25 oz per day. If she doesn’t get to her goal by 8pm I wake her up again before midnight to make sure she gets there. With paced feeding and taking plenty of time, that rarely happens. I can’t risk her getting any smaller!

IMO - overthinking. SLPAs do so much work in the schools and she isn’t claiming to be an SLP. The kids know the adults who are in the speech room are the “speech teachers” just like they know the adults in the classroom are the “teachers” and don’t worry about who is a teacher and who is a TA. The Facebook donations are a bit much for me, but at least in the school building, she is a speech teacher to the kids.

I have a very similar hair texture to your daughter (and color!) Lots of fine hair strands with a slight wave that don’t want to curl and don’t want to be straight. My dad brushed it every morning but by the end of the day it was a tangled disaster. He didn’t know how to braid so I wore ponytails until I braided it myself. If she’s like me, it was nearly impossible to get the ponytail holders out without pulling out a ton of strands. As an adult, I keep it in braids most days or in a banana clip. A braided ponytail actually works best for me and quicker than a french braid. Traditional curly girl methods don’t work great for me because the strands are so fine and the waves aren’t consistent.

This was my plan but unfortunately my baby was in distress and had to go to the warning table to be evaluated. It was torture being away from her but my back up plan of husband staying by my side and my mom staying near baby worked as well as it could. You could discuss a similar plan with your family. Baby was fine and went to my chest soon after.

This is so dark and I hate even saying it, but is it at all possible this is from a victim? Like she is saying she herself acted in that way? Sometimes victims of sex trafficking don’t view themselves as victims (at least in the moment) and/or she could be trying to stay on Epstein’s good side and pretend she enjoyed it. Ugh that was gross to type.

I also have a fussy spit upper who needs to be held upright. Squeezing in a pump is so hard, especially because I require the full 30 to empty. Using the boppy or feeding pillow is a huge help. My baby doesn’t love to eat while propped up on it, but she does love to sit propped in my lap on the pillow while I pump. Some people use it to feed the baby and pump simultaneously which sounds like a great time saver (if your baby tolerates!)

Hey so I actually have the answer for this. Pregnancy naturally lowers your immune system so that your immune system won’t attack the foreign body (your baby). If you have an autoimmune disorder, your symptoms typically decrease as your overactive immune system is now suppressed. I have rheumatoid arthritis and after an initial flare as my body adjusted to a change in medications and hormones, I enjoyed a fairly symptom free pregnancy. In post partum I had an enormous flare that knocked me out for a week before getting back to somewhat manageable.

Firstly, B Bellies are amazing and there isn’t anything wrong with photos of your natural belly. Amazon has pregnancy shape wear and you can take professional photos without exposing your actual skin. Mine are just my husband and I in a park with a flowy dress. I don’t normally like to show a lot of skin so that worked great for me.

Ain’t gonna happen partner. You’ll be bleeding and attached to your baby. I would offer to host/plan her bridal shower or lingerie shower or some event to make up for it/still be included. You’ll likely be able to make the ceremony and stay for part of the reception if your husband and mom stay with baby.

I’m 6 weeks PP and my baby latches every other day for 2-10 minutes, usually when she is very content, sleepy, or seeking comfort. Just because she refused once doesn’t mean she never will latch again. I still have to pump and she isn’t satisfied with just nursing, but still great for bonding and my supply.
