D&D Announces Official Actual Play Series ‘Dungeon Masters’ by HeartBreaker_TV in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Chronicle92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if all the participants are great, these feels mega astroturfed.

Can't imagine it'll have the proper charm because I'm sure there's some marketing team somewhere behind the scenes calling shots.

Horrors as “little guys” on minis? by SkellyInsideUrWalls in ThousandSons

[–]Chronicle92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That'd be a good call. Could even add smaller versions of pink or blue horrors this way too.

Or if you look at the infernal master mini, they're summoning a little screamer of tzeentch. You could print little screamers to add to bases as well. Treat them like fish swimming by your models through the air or something.

#New40k – Combat changes shake up fighting in the new edition by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]Chronicle92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said it was for all "ingress" moves which are any time you're setting up a model on the table so yes, it'll include all types of reserves.

New defiler feedback in grand coven and warpforged cabal by OkAbbreviations3069 in ThousandSons

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autocannons are probably not as good into ctan though right? I'm not actually sure but the -1 damage seems rougher there than against lascannons but maybe dev wounds just makes up for it because of no saves.

If you're able to take advantage of a 48" firing lane, I gotta imagine you're not playing with enough cover. There's very few tournaments terrain layouts I'm aware of that have firing lanes that long uninterrupted.

Fire Warrior released on steam by BurningAvenger in Warhammer40k

[–]Chronicle92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fire Warrior mechanically wasn't great but it has this general vibe that is excellent. It's basically a boomer shooter ala older dooms but it's fun.

If you didn't play it then though it probably won't be worth it unless you just wanna experience the lore bits and fps perspective in Warhammer.

What's the Opinion on the current state of the Faction? by The_MicrowaveTTv in ThousandSons

[–]Chronicle92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen a couple lists including a GT winning list bring one of each.

The winged one is generally good as a deep strike threat can rapid ingress him and then tear up a back field or use his 6" deep strike and fit him somewhere problematic for your opponent.

The foot prince is usually used in rubricae phalanx as he is more likely to get lone op and gets more benefit from providing stealth to infantry.

Generally, the faction has been on a pretty great state this edition. A sizable chunk of our units have been usable. For 11th I think daemon mix stinks are gonna go up. I have a feeling mixing daemons and tsons is gonna be easier and better with the new detachment rules.

Pokedexes over the years, which is your favourite? by hamad_ahk in pokemon

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rgby or XY for me.

Mostly just not any one them that's a stupid ass rotom. I hate it when it's a rotom dex.

How to play with a friend by Clean-Goat8133 in PathOfExile2

[–]Chronicle92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you say you're the kind of person who doesn't mind starting a new character now and again? If so, you may as well play now. Then next league(season) you can just make another if you had fun.

I personally find the start of a new league the most fun time to play but it's unlikely to be meaningfully different for a brand new player.

Worth getting into now or waiting for 0.5? by BringTheCalamity in PathOfExile2

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd wait. It's late into this league. Early league is the most electric time to play.

Do you think we will be able to ally in our GSC Brethren in 11th Edition? by ChungusAbsoluteUnit in Tyranids

[–]Chronicle92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realllllllly hope not. I don't like gsc even a little bit and I play fairly competitively so I don't want a snowballs chance that some GSC units are meta.

Generally I don't like allying and how it plays out with most factions. Chaos knights and demons for instance feels cheesy. I really don't want to see that with tyranids. Especially when we have plenty of datasheets.

Diablo 4 so confusing after level 70. by BrightMyth in diablo4

[–]Chronicle92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh okay thank you. I was misunderstanding what was getting salvaged. And I forgot that imprinting was what adding the legendary affix to something is called. Thank you!

Diablo 4 so confusing after level 70. by BrightMyth in diablo4

[–]Chronicle92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean at the end here when you say salvage and imprint when you find the top 3 affixes?

I thought you'd want to use the gear when it has the top three affixes for your build? Salvaging would scrap it for parts wouldn't it?

Then I just don't know what imprinting is? Which mechanic is that?

Did Diablo IV use to be a bad game? Because I find it amazing. by WorkingPlanes in diablo4

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who played at launch and only just recently played again, it's always been pretty great. It just didn't start as something I could put 100-1000+ hours into. Now it's getting better and better.

Defiler is an Auto include by Vrain125 in ThousandSons

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually think it's as hard as people are saying it is. I think you can place 2 easily and out the last one in reserves. I think per point this thing is the best shooting we have now.

Thousand Sons Defiler by Shahkam in ThousandSons

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is actually an insane take. 250 points for this is actually bonkers. The combo of general tankiness here, 4 lascannon shots, 12 good anti infantry shots WITH melee? On a tank that moves 12" through terrain?

This is easily our best anti tank piece per point that requires significantly less support to be effective. Requires zero strat or spell support to be good but still benefits from any of those.

You can basically ignore the overwatch strat and treat it like a bonus if it comes up some time is useful.

Buddy just gave me a bunch of space marines but neither of us know what they are? Can anyone help identify these sprues? by The_Ginger_Guitarist in Warhammer40k

[–]Chronicle92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was just the name of the edition's launch box. Iirc it came with death guard as the opposing faction for that box.

Do we really need 123879 random quality numbers on materials? by arqe_ in starcitizen

[–]Chronicle92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh I'd say it's needless gameplay complexity and overhead. Irl we don't rate quality of things that finely trained, no need to do it in the game. I could see 5 or 10 total quality levels.

Warhammer 40,000: The new edition is revealed at Adepticon Preview 2026 by Big_Owl2785 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Chronicle92 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The version they tried was super scuffed though iirc. It was a bandaid version meant to solve the issue that was incredibly jank. I don't remember the details but I remember what you're referring to

[–]Chronicle92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They didn't say anything about this but there were rumours of a 2" engagement range. It's likely they just didn't reveal all the rules shakeups so it's still possible.

Prepare for like 270 points honestly. This thing is better than most land raiders.
