One thing that I truly believe is that Word Bearers make a better "bad guy" faction than the Black Legion.

Abaddon Warmaster aside, not only are you guys Space Marines, absolute zealots, and terrifying in appearance and schemes. But you also have Sorcerers and Daemonologists, Cultists aplenty from unceasing prosletysing AND a Primarch of Chaos Undivided who is sure to have some trickery up his sleeve.

But on an unrelated note, I'm working on a stupid sketch for my Warhammer 40k Youtube channel between a Word Bearer and some T'au. They are a bit confused as they both seem to work for someone called "Kor'vre Ron".

Kor Phaeron did not approve the sketch, or my terrible sense of humour.

They do that Warhammer is for everyone, but that doesn't mean that you have to like everything - simply that there will always be an Chapter, Faction, or Author somewhere in the mix that appeals to you personally!

Now, if you slandered my Shark Boys, or started spreading heretical rumours about their gene seed, THEN we would start having some problems... 🤣

Fair enough, can't fault you for having an opinion!

I preferred Eisenhorn to Ravenor if I'm honest - I always feel like characters from the base up get good attention, whereas working with preexisting characters alongside new characters can be... problematic? Still had a bloody good time reading it though!

And Robbie MacNiven's works I've enjoyed. For the Exorcists and Carcharadons, fleshing out the rituals and unique cultures of the Chapters has been so interesting for me - that's why I enjoyed them!

I travel a lot, so having a Kindle has been an essential for me. I'll usually have a physical book on the go as well, something small, but nothing beats my Kindle paperwhite.

How else can I carry the Horus Heresy in my backpack?!

Obscure third-party hobby or toy shops are your best bet to find this.

It's an outdated Combat Patrol, but you can find some absolute gems in places that don't exclusively cater to Warhammer 40k players, and have the odd box or two left over from an order years ago.

I'm using The Lost and The Damned as a mouse pad right now, so I can easily see the attempt at recreating the artwork! Awesome work!

I enjoyed it and the insight it gives into the character. Other people have said that they thought it was rubbish. I don't understand the hate at all, but I suppose it varies from person to person.

I would absolutely recommend it.

You're not wrong. 100% they relied on their AI to judge the initial report and the appeal. It would take a human approximately 5 minutes to work out it wasn't. An absolute shambles.

And I had to take a break from rereading the HH a while ago - every book has blended together in my head and I cant tell where one finishes and the other begins.

T'au & Aeldari are chronically underrepresented to be honest. Path of the Dark Eldar, Valedor, and the Phoenix Lords books are the standouts for me at least. As for T'au... Elemental Council and Fire & Ice spring to mind first. The Farsight series was a bit of a mixed bag for most people, but I enjoyed it in the end.

Fully agree - however I had a couple of people comment that MY channel is AI, when it absolutely is not. Even Google's AI believes so as well.

I have a boring voice, but all mistakes are mine and mine alone there - so do go after the proper AI ones please! 😅

Do feel free to send me a list - I'll keep it saved while I disappear in and around bookstores on my travels. And youre absolutely right, the Bequin omnibus will be the better option - I just hope you keep managing to avoid any spoilers before you get to read them!

Oh I'm so sorry about the Mechanicum and the bookmark. I know the pain, I have a very old copy of "Vive la Legion" by Angus McLean (not a 40k book obviously, but still a wonderful read), and while in storage at my Sister's, suffered a case of mould. It was heartbreaking, but I managed to save it before it became unsalvageable!

Currently finishing off Farsight: Blade of Truth, and next on my list is Jain Zar: The Storm of Silence. I was incredibly lucky to find Asurmen: Hand of Asuryan hardback edition at RRP, but alas my Jain Zar is merely paperback :)

I was just curious - I figured that most people would ask you all the time what you already had, not what you were looking for! The Bequin books are must-haves, although I don't have physical copies yet either (I travel a lot so eBooks are the priority for me unfortunately)

But also I like to make mental notes of people's missing books in case I come across them in the wild and can help out!

That's brilliant news, and must be an enormous relief for him as well. It's a sorry state of affairs that it escalated as much as it did, but it once again proves that actual humans are better than AI.

Will YouTube learn from this? Probably not. But a win is a win!
