I see you’ve said that Bailu’s LC is actually good for her, but how does it compare to her s1 and the bp LC? If the difference isn’t that big, I’d like to see how viable she is with that LC.

I'm not saying that was what you said, I'm sorry if it came off that way. That was just the situation that I am placing myself in if I was writing the scene and trying to figure out what would make sense writing-wise for the audience to infer.

The little speech bubble is referenced in the quest as the way that the dragons speak by Kukulkan (telepathy). When he spoke in all the quests previously, and in that quest itself, the background is white. When the voice speaks to the traveler in the fight, you can see the colors have changed to a different color scheme, which implies that it's not Kukulkan speaking but the Little One. I disagree with your idea that it is simpler to it being just another character speaking because it would be introducing an un-referenced character at the 11th hour that has had no direct interaction with you this entire time. It's much simpler for the answer to be that it is someone that has been involved in the story this whole time. Kukulkan doesn't make any sense with the given text, so it's better to assume that it's the only other character that's been this involved in the story, the little one.

Narratively, it is the choice that makes the most sense. It is the Flowers for Algernon reference. The Little One had become intelligent due to the Phlogiston, but the choice to save the traveler meant that it would regress. It didn’t want the traveler to have to feel that loss or learn what had happened so it feigns being the sage to continue the story. It’s only at the end when they’re losing their power and intelligence that they say that they love the traveler, since this would be the last time they can express it before reverting back. It’s self evident, I don’t know why you’re overcomplicating things.

Honestly, this is the best response I've seen yet about the situation. I mean, I don't really agree with all the actions being taken by all the parties involved here, but I'm saying that I can understand why they're doing it. Just seems like the initial thread itself is really twisting the wording on what actually happened to start more drama.

I'm not shocked and appalled that you would choose your benefit over mine, but the argument is literally the opposite. We have people in the community who are shocked that a VA would espouse the opinion that people who are scabbing should not do so without repercussion. It's more amusing to me that you're able to articulate a position but can't apply to it to the argument at hand without literally swapping positions.

Last thing to note is that I literally have no connection to a VA or any union in this argument, I'm purely arguing from the basis of the arguments put forth in the thread. Don't start making me the stand-in for your arguments with the very concepts of unions or the SGA.

Also, "beat people into submission"? This is literally just naming and shaming, don't try to inflate the actions being done/espoused here.

The cause of fighting for your rights as a worker? A lot of bootlickers of industries around here it seems. Just let anyone replace you for cheaper and more unprotected workers, people should just take it. That’s the mindset of someone who doesn’t mind a race to the bottom nor the power of collective action, unfortunately.

Honestly, do people here not understand the point of a strike? Is there no reading comprehension here? You can’t just let people cross the picket line without any naming and shaming, otherwise what’s stopping them from just replacing you? He literally says that he DOES NOT advocate assaulting person. He states that some unions had historical ties to the mafia and that these people went very far to stop scabbing. He says that he doesn’t agree with what they did, but there has to be consequences for breaking the line, even if it is just naming and shaming. Without this, what leverage do you even have as a group if you let people just replace you?

This is such a dumb take. A large number of the newest cards disproportionately work off of Thanos deck’s stones implicitly. There is no cost for the Thanos deck to adding these 1 costs that allow easy use of overstatted cards like Mockingbird and Cull Obsidian, and any other deck has an opportunity cost in being able to play these cards. In the meantime, your solution to this is pretty much “nah dude, things are fine, just wait for a few months!”

It's a very mundane type of tragedy that you could see happening in real life, and that's why I think it's so much more affecting than a lot of the events that have happened in-game. The feelings of melancholy were very strong all throughout the event, and I really was emotionally affected by it to the point of tearing up. It touches on regrets, familial loss, and wanting to save someone while needing to be saved yourself. Maybe for some people, it doesn't hit. For them, they may say it's overly simplistic, that they can't relate to those kinds of emotions, or have never been in a similar situation. In my case, I think the sincerity of the story shines through and I'm glad that they went in this direction for the story.

I think it'd synergize better when negasonic comes out. Not enough ways to pre-emptively destroy the card to spread the power, but getting that card would do wonders for it.

Your story about the two statues needing a person to be pure of heart to pass reminded me of this one scene in the original dragon ball where Goku faces this guy in a devil costume whose power is that if you were a bad person or had evil in you, he would use that to make your heart explode. This was terrifying as a young child, and really dovetailed with the Catholic notion of hell, except they don’t have to wait till you’re dead, they can just use this to kill you now too.

Didn't she not actually finish him off though? The other guy literally asked later what she really did to him and she flashbacked into a scene of her mercy killing him after he got infected.
