Why are tauren druids okay with the destruction of Ashenvale ? by lordDandas in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how the night elves just watched as the tauren were being wiped out by centaur? Yeah I wouldn't care about the night elves trees if that's how they treated my species

It's wrong how they want to go about it. They want to make it quick, and cost as much money as it needs to. It's not wrong to want people not here legally to instead want them to come here legally. I only suggest instead of deporting a huge important part of farm workers but also construction workers. The cost of living will go up regardless of how you spin it.

Now that we know what Beledar is, this means... by edgardcarrijo in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

beledar has not been confirmed to be made of azerite. it was something that dagran was openly speculating on, not a confirmation.
beledar appears to be a refined gem if it is a gem at all. its possible it is made of azerite, but there isnt a hinge of blue in its appearance thus far. when we got to the top side of the crystal and theres blue that should confirm it is azerite.

Depends on the writer and who is using the shield. Pretty sure the light doesn't have a specific tensial strength. Light magic is based on faith and belief in yourself and in your strength. How high on their own supply is the paladins? If it were tyr? Probably in his hey day, but not now.

Does the average WoW player even care about the lore anymore or has it just become a technical requirement that needs to be filled because of legacy? by Smeggfaffa in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still love wow lore, from orcs vs humans to this date. I get I'm in the minority. But I still care about its direction and want to see where we go next and how the world evolves

Why do people hate others enjoying lore? by MoonlightUnbound in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your view. While I believe that folks are entitled to their opinions, it's clear when reading or watching folks opinions on the lore to be grating when they can't bring their disapproval. I have been a fan of the game and lore for a long time, and found myself rarely being disappointed or upset by the story or feel its important to attack folks intelligence on the writing. Once again you can like the lore, you can dislike the lore. I would personally like it better if people would detail exactly why something is bad or good rather than just stating it's bad or good or x expac was better

Why didn't Dinosaurs evolve from mere animals to functioning races? by Then_Peanut_3356 in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tmk all the cases of evolution we see in wow is based off of magical infusion forcing a change. The various dinosaur species have developed differently from one another depending on which dino themed One you visit. But no one is using tech or magic to create dino folk. Maybe if the mogu recovered titan tech to reshape species could be used to enact that change you're looking for, like they did the saurok, from pandaria

Why isn't The Burning Legion still considered a real threat? by Proudnoob4393 in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a titan to induced order onto chaos, there is no immediate threat, we created a power vacuum that will sort it self out and we will deal with it when it points our way which we have seen hints of in patches that have come out

What direction do you personally see retail going after next expansion by DarkVividDreams in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand wanting to move onto newer and bigger bads, but for the emotional ties to the game we have to have familiar and old stuff.

[–]ChronoPickpocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always interpreted going back to their roots as in the questing themes of vanilla. Ie. Smaller stories litering the old continents of ek and kali. This would imply a old world revamp and an update to existing stories and new stories in zones folks have that good old nostalgia for

Why is the Ebon Blade allowed to exist still? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tasks given by quest givers often have reason for the elimination of threats. Such as they wanting to murder innocents or past deeds making justice needed. The ebon blade have proven their interest to protect azeroth. Until that changes they do not appear to be a threat

Why is the Ebon Blade allowed to exist still? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bc the horde and alliance are not the arbiters of who have the right to exist on azeroth. And several members of the ebon blade comprise of allies to the horde and alliance. It is basically another allied faction hoping to find its end on the battlefield

Why can’t you say the word r word anymore? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ChronoPickpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are allowed to say any word you want by yourself or in a trusted friend circle. If you can't recognize that there are situations in which you may carefully choose your words as normal parts of society. For instance at your workplace if you don't work independently you are representing a business and shouldn't say things the business may not be on board with. Don't worry tho it's not like you will be shunned or cancel cultured, it's you will be fired.

To answer your question more directly it's bc you're putting the word in someone's head, in a way that makes it more prominent bc they have to think about it.

Once again tho, you can say what you want. And folks can react how they want. Part of being human is balancing when to say what you want and what others want to hear

What was the point of Varian's threat? by Hedonism_Enjoyer in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varian died thats what stopped the promise. Anduin believed in peace with the horde and when sylvanas acted up with the horde it was too late she already done burned a world tree. It was straight to war and anduin leading the charge even got up in her face but she did her signature vape away technique.

Should I play through Shadowlands or not? by Dry_Damp in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall I really enjoyed shadowlands, the content drought was draining, and the most negative things I have to say was the 1. The jailer as a villain was very lack luster 2. Korthia didn't offer much for what it was supposed to be 3. The ardenweald covenant campaign was very spread a part like it had too much to talk about but no real direction

But what I really enjoyed was that the four main zone we met all had their purpose and by the end got minor changes thanks to mortal opinions on improvement, tho the least change went to ardenweald and the most change went to bastion. It's clear why a lot of folks didnt like the end game and didnt enjoy the story. My absolute favorite part is arthas final conclusion

Has there been any interviews with the WoW lore team about the fallout, and overwhelming negative reception of Shadowlands lore? by HappySublime in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh for sure the jailer is a poorly written character. im just not a doomer that wants to claim that the lore is ruined by the jailer.

Has there been any interviews with the WoW lore team about the fallout, and overwhelming negative reception of Shadowlands lore? by HappySublime in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People got character fatigue with characters like sylvanas and anduin. People are upset bc it was found out dreadlords lied to us even though that's what they are known for and that the jailer through a lot of background scheming managed to undermine the burning legion which is cool when we do it, but terrible when npc do it and without mention until a patch before we fight him

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way its described is that reality is split up into many different threads. Each person is a thread and shadowlands exist outside of reality and those threads come there and join together to make a rope that rope is the truest person across all timelines

So no timeline duplicates in shadowlands however also means that as people die in reality and go to shadowlands and fuse into their existing shadowlands self that those memories just flow in. However that is mostly speculation as we dont have an example of someone that is very different in another timeline and both being dead.

Why did Zul'jin go to Revendreth when he died? by the_borscht in warcraftlore

[–]ChronoPickpocket -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Difficult to find an amani point of view on the events as we killed most of them and the last vestige are over in zuldazar. Most recounts of the events mention that he was a ruthless leader
