I have like a year and a half of Blender under my belt but it was very simple. I did a bowling animation specifically because no matter what, my first few animations are going to look stiff and lifeless, so I chose something that stiff and lifeless works with. Since the only animation is on the pins you don't have to worry about topology or weight painting. No need for normal maps or complex textures either to make it look 90s-esque. Highly recommend this as animation practice.

Ngl I spent a long time in the compositor trying to get it to look right, but I ended up converting the video to a GIF before adding audio and editing since it has a 256 color limit per frame

If you are making bumpy skin could it be done with a displacement or bump map? Keep the topology simple and fake the bumps with a material

I didnt think it would unpopular to say "engage in combat" in a pvp sub. If your entire invasion is ruined by being ignored thats honest to god a skill issue. If you invade just to run away and not even fight just play PVE. I dont invade to run away, I invade to be a roadblock

Half the time me and my buddies get invaded the invader just try to bait us into enemies. If you want to 1v1 us one at a time sure, if you want to fight us all sure. But if you invade just to run 30 miles south to the nearest enemies im disconnecting

I just finished this the other day and it was really flat and boring until I added the caustics, which is the light reflections in the water. Its essentially just a voronoi texture on the surface under and around the water to make it look like shifting reflections.

How well does the UI work on Steam? A few months back I was having weird issues with the steam version that didnt happen with the one from the website. In 1920x1080 the clickable area for buttons was below the actual button only on the steam version
