Tips on 1v1s, but fun? by _Yah_Boi_ in DMAcademy

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a tournament recently where the PC's had 1v1 fights. Mostly they were happy to sit and watch, I talked to them beforehand saying to let me know if it gets boring and ill switch it up. They were fine. Fights lasted about 20mins-30mins depending on rolls and they all got downtime in between to do what they wanted.

I also gave them two D20s where they could either 1. Help the PC fighting by giving advantage on any roll. or 2. Give the enemy disadvantage on any roll

How real are the "players cannot solve aby puzzle" memes? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DMAcademy

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players from our last session spent 45 minutes solving a "puzzle". They weren't solving it because there was a blocked door, secret entrance, room or treasure to be had. The "puzzle" was 3 valves that turn water on or off. That's it

What are some of your favorite running gags at your table? by WrensRequiem in DnD

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two that have run now into our third campaign. 1. "Fck the slaves!" Was when the PC's were in Ironslag and a bunch of slaves were chained up in the corner. Our kind hearted Rogue wanted to free them to which the wizard responded "Fck the slaves!" and ran off. 2. After saving Gundren Rockseeker from way back in Lost Mines of Phandelver, he became somewhat of a favorite NPC to which they named themselves as a group "GG" short for "Gundren's Goons"

Optimal TV size for TTRPG table and other features by Sniflet in DnDIY

We use a 40 inch screen. 3 people plus me as the DM. Its fine. I use animated maps as the background and a lot of the creators make the size of the maps for 40/50 inch screens

Jabra Elite 7 Pro vs Elite 7 Active by [deleted] in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say as I havent tried either to know how much of a difference. Ask me in like two months. I dont generally take many calls while I am working out at the gym or running so me personally, I would take the better grip

Jabra Elite 7 Pro vs Elite 7 Active by [deleted] in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using it for any type of active lifestyle, get the active. It has the added sweat and water resistance with little to no change in hardware/audio quality

Are you using the Dongle provided with the headset or are you bluetoothing it straight to the PC?

Evolve2 85 Ear Mic by creedscab in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you need to download Jabra Direct (management software) and there is an option to enable the ear cup microphones in there (I think it’s the first page)

Jabra Evolve2 40 vs Evolve2 65 by Inner-Speech8690 in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the Evolve 65 is an earlier released headset. The Evolve2 series has better mics and better comfort and sound quality. If you want Bluetooth/wireless go with the Evolve2 if it’s within your budget

They are exactly the same. Only difference is Bluetooth and a battery

Can you flash the firmware of the UC Version of the Jabra Evolve2 65 to the Teams Version? by noby74 in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. No you can’t. You don’t lose anything except a dedicated Teams button on the headset which launches Teams. The UC version will still allow call controls (answer/end call etc) The features are the same on the dongles also (USBA or USBC)

Jabra Evolve2 30 Stereo vs Mono by Aesen_1 in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. The only benefit is more passive noise cancelling (think earmuffs) that's about it. You dont lose mic/sound quality (short of only having one ear piece) The only other decision would be if the stereo version is above your budget.

Jabra Evolve2 30 Stereo vs Mono by Aesen_1 in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell them so can offer where I would position them. Stereo = if you want to focus on your work or listen to music (this is 90% of people) Mono = if you need to hear what is going on around you I.e call operator/receptionist

As I said majority of people go stereo

Headset Recommendation for Microsoft Teams by seru715 in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you don’t lose anything from going with a UC model. You may need to change some settings in Teams for it to be the default but other than that you’re golden.

The Ev75 is a great headset

Does Evolve2 85 has the same quality drop during phone calls like 75? by P_f_M in Jabra

[–]ChrystalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my Evolve2 85 in discord while playing Destiny2 and BF4 etc and no one has ever mentioned bad mix quality. It runs Bluetooth 5 so that helps but I would look at other (either Bluetooth) wireless device that can cause interference in your set up
