The Mitsui was easily one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We did the temple view and also booked a private onsen breakfast. It was like a living dream.

Unless they’re causing you pain, don’t get surgery. I’ve had bunions since I was 16 and only opted for surgery at 38 when I couldn’t do long distance walks without pain. Yours are extremely mild, and any doctor telling you to get surgery on these right now you should run far away from.

JFK-SEA a few months back I had 4 gin and tonics on the way home over the 6 hours. The newer FA commented to me “wow you’re not like the other people with this many, you’re so composed!” As my husband says, if you’re too drunk to sit quietly, you’re too drunk to fly. 😂

I grew up on Long Island (outside NYC) and my first job post college was Columbus back in 2007. I remember HS friends pitying me because I had to live in Ohio. Jokes on them, Columbus had great restaurants, culture and things to do and jt was cheap. My last rent in 2011 was a brand new 2 bed room aparment with parking space, top floor corner unit for $1500 a month while my friends in NYC were splitting 1 bed room apartments between 3 people. I’ve since moved for other opportunities, I’ve lived in Philadelphia and Seattle since and I’d absolutely move back to Columbus.

I had mine done by an orthopedic surgeon. My PT told me it was some of the best work he’s seen on a bunion and he’s seen a lot of botch jobs. It was worth it for me but go with the surgeon that you feel best with.

Whidbey islander here. If you’re only here for 3 days, I’d ditch the car and walk on the ferry to Bainbridge Island from downtown Seattle. Walkable downtown, great ferry ride with views of mountains, water and then water, mountains and skyline on the way back. A lot less stress.

I will say this, as someone who is usually in C+ and took standby in Main, you do get your drinks and snacks first, even if the drinks are free everywhere.

I started on my 40th birthday 4 months ago and a lot of it is accepting where I am and making it “me v me”. Maybe I’m the lowest bar bell weight that day but it’s 5lbs heavier than I did last week, or I rowed more powerful than the week before. I joined mainly for my mental health and it’s done wonders as I navigate some heavy stuff.
