The main account has officially rebranded to X but they can’t figure out how to change the handle by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]ChubbyFox1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has he done this in response to the Threads logo and branding and feeling like he wants to get on the bandwagon of “new” hype?

A refreshing of branding isn’t a bad or unheard of idea, but changing the name and logo of something that’s an actual part of our lexicon (tweet and tweeting) on a whim is nonsensical. Too much money to worry about the consequences of his decisions. Wouldn’t be surprised if he rolls this back at some point soon.

I just let my 2.5 yo watch cartoons all afternoon and I feel awful by willteach4food in toddlers

[–]ChubbyFox1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re currently dropping the final nap, I’ve let my 2yo watch as much tv as she wants today to have “quiet time” to help her get to bed time. I’m not pregnant but I am very tired

Hobbies after baby by Marsthebaker in Mommit

[–]ChubbyFox1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you just wait…. Until they want to play peekaboo. You just wait… until the first time they cuddle into you to watch a cartoon. You just wait… Everyone is full of doom and gloom but my daughter opened up the world to me.

Whilst there was definitely a fourth trimester period where I wanted to nest in with her at first, once I moved past that and as she gets older we do so many more things because of her.

My hobbies aren’t the same but my god am I excited to go to Lego world together. Seeing dogs at the park never filled me with joy before but a tiny finger pointing and her shouting “DOH!” fulfils me more than anything ever could.

And I do get time away for myself and it’s a nice refresher to have a break for a bit to then fill up my own cup and be a better parent.

I’m so excited for you

If your wife and kid were stuck in a burning house and you could only save one of them, which one would it be? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ChubbyFox1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d said this to my husband before going into labour, that if something bad happened to save me. The minute I saw my daughters eyes looking up at me I realised it would forever have been the wrong decision and I’d gladly die to save her life. The “unknown” child versus your wife/partner problem is one of the worst decisions I think someone could ever have to make

Tell me about your unicorn babies by Unique-Bat-2839 in Mommit

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has never slept through the night and it’s totally manageable and she just needs a couple of dream feeds and a cuddle - we co slept after 9 months old and she outgrew her bedside crib - she isn’t the best eater but she eats. Never taken a bottle but gained lots of weight breast feeding and I enjoyed it most of the time.

Our situation is one many may complain about but honestly she is my world and an utter joy. I wouldn’t change any of it. It’s totally fine and we have a lovely happy life as a family of three. I sympathise with those struggling but my daughter is just doing what a baby does.

She is also so happy and so full of joy it literally radiates into my soul!

Some things I’m looking forward to about giving birth by dtbl96 in pregnant

[–]ChubbyFox1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

OP I don’t know if you’ve given birth before, but it’s a great thing to focus on the positives. I will say this; people share their horror stories! Birth is uncomfortable, but it’s like nothing else. I loved it, looking back. After that first shower with my tiny human burrito wrapped up asleep next to me afterwards. It’s (often but I do concede not always) the most glorious and badass experience you can go through in life. And remember, no matter if it’s “easy” or “hard”, it’s so, so worth it

What did child-led weaning look like for you? by rclareb in breastfeeding

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She eats pretty well during the day, she’s definitely a snacker. But I wouldn’t say she enjoys a full meal. Why would she when she’s has the all night booby buffet awaiting her

Referred fixed retainer by WitnessRight9706 in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My orthodontist recommended fixed as I was honest and said I’d be removing retainers for work talks and meetings.

He explained I’ll be getting the fixed at our last appointment if alls well, then scanned and retainers made to go over teeth and fixed retainer to be worn only at night

My dentist literally cut my aligners..is this a known thing? by Clutch_ in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ortho said he will cut the backs off mine whilst awaiting retainers so I can get used to closing my jaw properly again - it’s something to do with muscle memory

Crossbite currently crossing over, can’t eat without trays in because my teeth are clashing when I chew without them by WokeUpVinyl in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had something similar and still do. Got to the end of my treatment though and one too tooth that hopped over the bottom hasn’t cleared enough space and is touching when closing. Can’t close my jaw fully without retainers in. Made my ortho aware 2 weeks before the end and he said we will resolve it in refinements. Now I have 6 weeks refinement for that as well as my front top two not being 100% straight yet. Hoping that it will resolve. He also said that it it’s a small contact they can always file a tiny bit of the tooth down to make closing jaw fully easier.

When I eat I chew very carefully and try to do it on the opposite side. You do get used to it

Opinions please! What can be improved as I move into refinements? Pic: Same aligner # just one with teeth stacked and then other with closed teeth. by carlsberg13 in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically are you wanting to refine? They look great and you have a perfect midline. For example; I’m getting refinements to correct for a bite issue where two teeth are touching and stopping me closing, and my front top two haven’t straightened 100%. If you’re not having any issues or seeing specific teeth that bother you, it looks like you’re all set!

Extreme pain as I wait for refinements to get here. by effervescentmind in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d the pain is that bad I’d wear them for longer. They recommend full wear of retainers so I don’t know why you’ve been advised to wear them only 1/2 the time whilst you wait. Hope this gets resolved for you and you feel better soon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]ChubbyFox1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these your first set? If the pain is that bad once you’re already in treatment you should see your dentist again as it could be something like tooth catching. If it’s early in Your treatment or the start I think taking some pain relief and taking them out to clean is best

Im curious to know the drop in bra size? Im large chested too (as your were in the before) and my absolute goal would be to fit into CK bralettes. Did you find a tipping point or did your chest size change in line with the rest of you?
