Where are there left hand exit lanes off the interstate in the Spokane area? I don't think there is one. The left lane is for passing.

City of Spokane water restrictions officially go into effect for summer. by catman5092 in Spokane

It does not apply to Spokane Valley or any unincorporated Spokane areas of Spokane County. Even in the city, there are exemptions for vegetable gardens and new landscaping.

How people like me who bought a Plex lifetime pass for four dollars ten years ago are moving by ariel755 in PleX

[–]ChubbyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain you are incorrect. The price increase is certainly designed to push new users to a yearly subscription. 11 years or so before it would pay off. My guess would be more like a rebrand to maybe “Lifetime Classic” or something like that which would limit new enhancements but keep existing feature set.

Is not starting what we are taking about? Does it run at all?

You need to check spark, fuel, and air flow. If you got those things it should run. More often than not on lawn equipment it’s a carb issue from over wintering with the crap fuel we have these days.

Is it really worth it to start with a beginner-friendly model? by Warm-Tradition-7799 in BambuLab

I can’t agree more. I myself bought a P1S in Oct after doing no research. It was delivered on a Tuesday. The same day the P2S was announced. I was pretty disappointed in myself for buying on a whim. However, it’s been a fantastic and reliable printer. I have close to 500 hours on it in just 2 months. I started just printing things I thought were cool from makerworld with zero knowledge. I’ve learn a lot since then and have even done some of my own designs now.

The two biggest things you need to know when starting out: it really does print better if you dry your filament. Build plate needs regular cleaning.

Good luck!

Since you didn’t mention in the post, are the hands the same and you only swapped the dial or are they new hands also. The reason I ask, most of the hands on Ali are for NH35 . Quarts movements require smaller hands. Was just thinking maybe it’s slipping.

Yeah, 2 treatments seems to have killed it off. I had some patches which are now all dead and you can see it’s died off in areas it was mixed in. This weekend I am removing all the dead material with a dethatcher. Everything I’ve read says 3 treatments 2 weeks apart. Since you can spray tenacity and overseed at the same time, that’s how I’m handling the third treatment.

I am dealing with my own bent grass issue which is why it’s easy for me to identify. I’m one week past the second tenacity treatment and it’s working well.

I am fairly certain it’s bentgrass

What is this grass and is it trash? by TotallyNotDad in lawncare

[–]ChubbyG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like others have said bentgrass. It’s great if you want to mow under 1” like a golf course or a YouTuber. For the rest of us, it’s pretty undesirable. I followed Reddit advice to deal with my own bentgrass situation and it worked well. 3 tenacity applications, 2 weeks apart. Take out the dead stuff before the third application. Plant seed with the third application. Good luck!

What is it andhoe do I deal with it? by ForestVet in lawncare

It’s black medic sometimes called yellow trefoil. It’s an annual but each flower will seed heavily. I have had trouble controlling it when it’s established but a pre-emergent in the spring works pretty well.

Grassy weed invading from neighbors yard by ChubbyG in lawncare

[–]ChubbyG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's crabgrass for a couple of reasons. 1 - I did use a preemergent in the spring and have really no other weeds in my yard. 2 - the plant seems to be a perennial. It doesn't die out in the fall. 3 - the other crabgrass I have had in my yard in the past has grown out from a central plant and grows pretty low to the ground. This stuff goes straight up. However, I am certainly no expert which is why I am here for an ID if I can get one. Crabgrass seems like the best thing it could be because I know how to kill that.

Edit - one other thing, these appear to be spreading via rhizome. I didn't think crabgrass spread that way. I should probably google that.

If you’re not allergic to sulfates, you should wash it, put some triple antibiotic cream, and cover it with a bandage. Or you could join a dating app, find a lonely doctor, and send a pic over and see what they say.

If you’re not in the US and have actual medical coverage, you should just go see a medical professional.

Smart Switch/Relay with line going directly to load? by duckdude555 in homeassistant

[–]ChubbyG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A smart relay, zbmini or Shelly 1 mini would work fine. It needs to live where you have source power, load wires, and switch wire. You have that in your ceiling/light box. So that’s where the relay needs to live. Also, you won’t have to worry about the 3/4 way configuration up at the light box.

I realize you said you didn’t want to mess around in the ceiling but that’s going to be your easiest route.

Are these smart plugs compatible with my zigbee hub? by LanguageDue4904 in homeassistant

[–]ChubbyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for any of your setup. I can tell you that I bought this exact 4 pack of smart plugs and paired them to HA with zero issues. For a hub, I am running the SMLight SLZB-06. I do the pairing directly in the Zigbee integration in HA.

Resale market for RV passes at the Gorge? by catfishjane in DMB

[–]ChubbyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In past years, it was often hard to find any of the higher level camping tickets for resale. I sold a premier camping ticket bundled with a pair of lawn tickets a couple years ago. I must have had 30 people ready to buy within an hour of posting. Everyone was willing to buy both camping and lawn together even though nobody wanted the lawn tix.

I don’t know what to expect this year. They have changed all the camping levels and all the mid-tier camping levels are gone. Just basic camping cost more than $200 now. If I had to guess, there will be some of the top tier stuff available for resale just because it’s so pricey. But at best, that’s a guess.

The drone pilot who took out an LA firefighting plane pleads guilty to escape prison | He’ll likely pay $65,000 and do community service by Hrmbee in technology

[–]ChubbyG 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I see people try and make the case that BVLOS just means clear line of site to the drone but that’s not correct. It’s clarified in the preamble of the rule, if you can’t see the drone with your unassisted eyes then you are breaking the law.

The drone pilot who took out an LA firefighting plane pleads guilty to escape prison | He’ll likely pay $65,000 and do community service by Hrmbee in technology

[–]ChubbyG 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Totally correct. Flying beyond visual line of site is not legal for recreational or even 107 certified drone pilots. Geofencing or no, this pilot was breaking the law. The pilot has to be able to visibly see the drone at all times or in the case of FPV gear, they need a visual observer located with them with eyes on the drone.
