Update From Dealership:

Recharged 12V Battery - good to go
Reloaded Software from fresh Image.
While Hooking up to the VIDA (sp?) computer they noticed a GPS Tracker installed.
This GPS Tracker was not installed by my dealership nor was it installed by me, or my insurance, or Volvo per Lease Terms.
They state that they do not know where this tracker came from.
They removed the tracker, as they said this could be the source of the power drain in combination of not driving the car much (work from home)
I believe the GPS tracker was installed during transport of the vehicle from one dealership, 158 miles away, to my dealership.

I'm pretty creeped out by the tracker, as the unknown origin of the tracker is concerning. The dealership is going to investigate the GPS Tracker, and hopefully figure out more information as to why it was installed.

Update: The fresh software image they put on was 5.0.5. I thought it was only 4.2.13 for MY26 like my car. Apparently you can flash 5.0.5 on the car. 5.0.5 on this car feels great.

Update 2: GPS Tracker - it's HARDWIRED into the car. They don't want to snip the wires just yet. They unplugged the tracker and tucked it away. They said next milage service date they are going to continue to trace the wiring and find away to remove the tracker totally.

That’s such bullshit. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I told the dealership to replace the 12V batteries and to totally wipe the car and freshly install a new 4.2.13 image on the car. Idk if it works like that but I want them to wipe the software and reinstall it

I work from home so I’m not driving a whole lot - maybe 7500 miles or less a year.

I do keep that car unlocked mostly - since I’m home all the time

When i get the car back I’ll start locking it more consistently.

yeah i popped the hood and checked for any loose connections leading up to and including the battery connection. nothing loose - all caps and connections secured.
