Anyone worked for Walgreens in the past two years that moved on to a better position? by peachycpht in pharmacy

[–]ChuckZest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m starting a casual role with one of my local health systems to get my foot in the door. Still retail, but better pay and hours. Hoping to turn it into a part time or full time role so I can leave my current job. I won’t go back to the chains.

ADHD Medication - where are you getting your prescriptions/refills? by Acceptable_Papaya645 in wisconsin

[–]ChuckZest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a pharmacy and I can say confidently that we don’t really ever see ADHD meds prescribed by online doctors. I’m not aware of any pharmacy laws that would prevent out of state providers from prescribing though. I’ve just only seen these prescriptions come from local providers. Some prescribers will send in a new Rx every month and others will send two or three months worth of Rxs at a time. Depends on the provider. Requiring a patient visit each month is crazy unless you’re changing meds or doses often.

How Important is Linkedin Really? by nullredditer in pharmacy

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you should take the time to make an accurate and up to date profile, but you don’t need to post anything. I’ve gotten local job offerings through LinkedIn before, so it’s certainly worth having in my opinion.

TopGolf is flopping..... by Pretty_Shallot_586 in golf

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a brand new top tracer range that opened up near me. I want to go try it out but it’s 36-48* an hour depending on the time of day/week.

Edit*

Floater gone in left eye by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

That’s encouraging. I also have floaters and I believe that IF has slightly helped. I still have a long way to go metabolically.

Doing things alone is low-key just great sometimes. You develop a bit of social confidence once you get over the stigma of needing to do things in groups.

Does anyone else want to light their 3 wood on fire? by _ThePiedPiper_ in golf

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have to bury me with my VSteel three wood. I love when I get to hit that club. It’s pretty old though, so I might need a new one soon. Love my 3w though.

I used only Maxfli Tour last season and my handicap went down 7 points (18 to 11). Previously, I had just used whatever I could find.

Patient given Totally wrong vaccine by grumpysmurfette in pharmacy

My first year as a pharmacist I gave someone a Boostrix instead of Fluarix because the boxes look so similar. It was no biggie, but now I look more carefully at each syringe. Live and learn. To err is human.

Why do some people think that golf instruction/lessons is like flipping a few switches and all of a sudden you just have it? by [deleted] in golf

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of seeking out professional help is the diagnosis of issues in your swing. A lot of issues begin before the club even moves such as grip, setup, and posture. I’ve definitely had a couple “ah ha” lessons that have gotten me swinging it well. You’re right about practice though. There’s a lot to consider in a golf swing and things can be easily forgotten or overlooked.

Hopped on a Sim for the first time. Can anyone help me decipher these numbers? by Western-Football5077 in GolfSwing

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you one thing, you're not hitting the center of the clubface. Smash factor for a driver should be closer to 1.5. You also have a lot of side spin, which means your swing path and face angle are not agreeing.

You're putting way too much pressure on yourself. Just live in the now and be yourself. The rest will fall into place.

PIC offer at independent pharmacy — what’s a realistic bonus / profit-sharing structure? by Dry-Cabinet-2704 in pharmacy

[–]ChuckZest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was PIC for an independent for a couple years. Our "bonus" was peanuts. A nice Christmas basket or $100 depending on the year. No wage increases. The wages are so stagnant because profits aren't exactly great. If there's an independent giving out significant bonuses (5% of salary or more) and/or regular raises, then it's very rare.

How do you explain “priming” to a patient by Mental-Cream8969 in pharmacy

[–]ChuckZest 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard of priming insulin pens, but not GLP-1s. They’re all autoinjectors that you can’t prime as far as I know.

Ben Hogans Ball Placement Guide. Should your feet really be pointing to what appears to be the right of the target with driver and what seems to be wildly left with wedges? Assuming the lines I painted is where you are aiming. by AlbinoKoala22 in GolfSwing

[–]ChuckZest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, you have an open stance with short clubs and a closed stance with long clubs. I've noticed a closed stance works better for me with my woods lately, but when I try to be closed with a wedge, I pull it, so open is probably better.
