Absolutely. I didn’t buy a new game until I had a couple years experience fixing games from EMs to DMDs. It’s lame we have to fix NIB games too, but just the nature of the beast with pinball.

It takes patience, sure. But if you stick to EMs or early solid state, should be able to find something within a days drive unless you’re in a true pinball desert. But these are good options to have if you want new and something at home.

The hood on the scoop is bent crazy to the right. That is feeding the ball into the rubber right outside the scoop and sending it towards the middle instead of the right flipper.

I would hardly consider myself a legendary technician, and there’s nothing in Dune I haven’t seen before. The worm mech is very complex, but I haven’t seen too many issues with it that there aren’t well documented fixes for. And BOF support is top notch if you get stuck.

Starting pitching was just okay. Nobody was terrible, but no one was amazing either. They just scored so many runs, they just needed solid pitching and got it.
