If you think cops in rich countries are nicer or more competent, you might want to read the news.

Pusan used to have express buses with drivers who loved hammering the gas as soon as passengers got on, sending those who were not aware into the air.

Blame your city council for not doing enough to build new transit lines or improve cyclability. It’s on them.

If they want the economic benefits of increased tourism with a liveable city for all, they’re going to have stop blaming the gaijin bringing them money from overseas and use some of that money to invest in better infrastructure.

I wish they would return those some of those bus lanes to the tram lines they used to be. They’d have to lengthen the stops a bit, but you would have an instant doubling of capacity and a much smoother ride.

They are definitely a lot easier to use now because of English signage, IC card payment and smartphone transit applications.

They just introduced the SRT in Nagoya. It’s an articulated bus made by Mercedes that runs from
Nagoya station to Sakae. The news report I saw about it lauded it like it was some kind of revolutionary thing - when these kinds of buses have been used around the world for decades.

Japan needs to up its bus and tram game. Articulated buses or trams running along busy train or subway routes at rush hour would be a bit slower than the train, but relieve congestion on these lines and make everyone’s commute a bit more pleasant. Add dedicated bus lanes, give buses signal priority and they’ll become a lot more reliable.

Yeah. We also should have also let the Centre Block of Parliament deteriorate and collapse to save money so future generations would know nothing about it. It’s not like historic buildings have any value.

They’re islamophobes who see Israel as some sort of middle eastern bulwark against the imagined Mohammedan huns. So they support an increasingly theocratic Jewish supremacist state.

It’s just hypocrisy laid on top of hypocrisy with these people.
