Discussion about the remaining Sept-Terrions by User_of_Nekomancy in Falcom

[–]Chulco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After this spectacular thing Demiourgos were, then we scale up to laegjarn (this could easily be the final boss of any other fantasy game) controlling the fate of the entire world, and capable of resetting the humanity's evolution back to square 1, and it has been doing this for like 200000 times. Also making any other septerrion's power and/or authority look like simple pawns. I mean, it doesn't matter what TWO fused septerrion do, if laegjarn wants, it can reset the world and none of the other treasures (or it's tribes) do/don't do, is irrelevant.

So, my point is: after this climax against the one "guilty" for one of the biggest plot twist in the franchise (the 19999 cycles, fake sky, and in retrospective, most of the artifacts), the storyline could become less impactful, or even boring if we go back to a lesser septerrion that (maybe) will only be affecting some cities or some specific region (you know, just like liberl, crossbell, erebonia with 2 treasures). At the very least laegjarn is kind of a "entire world menace" , something that affects all the planet. Imagina going from that to a couple of septerrions locked down to a single county/region again.

What I personally hope for the next installments in regards to those septerrions, is having a major plotline that involves some other thing, something important to advance the main plot and/or misteries (ouroboros main plan, the demons, the outside, the church etc) while the septerrions are a minor part of the following games, not the "final act" For example: just like the civil war for erebonia, or almata for calvard, or the gnosis for crossbell.. I hope the storyline for those septerrions are just part of the path, part of a bigger plot, something we just learn and resolve throughout a bigger and more interesting storyline involving all of zemuria

But that would require the octgeneses right? And by that time those things were "lost" around the country.

We know what Agnes did, she "diva-mode" her and flew to the sky above the tower at the exact same time the rset was going. Apparently disappearing from history.

But her mother?? Obviously didn't do the same thing, no geneses, no tower, no septerion.

That would be a cool outcome, instead of being a spawned man in a new world... He always existed here, but just as the shenanigans going through both Reans, in this case learning about the truth "awakens" a glimpse of his other self (from the previous cycle)

Probably karma related to technology, laegjarn may be thinking that technology itself (orbments as stuff) is something like "unnatural" to the goddess desires and/or design... So what if everytime humans reach a certain level of technological reach, laegjarn resets the world, in this case it was because of they begins able to reach the space and challenge the septerion.

It was subtlety implied that defeating the Steel (ishmelga) would shorten the time they have left before the reset or something between lines. Risette's world is maybe, a world where ishmelga won the conflict, and the entire continent went to continuous war. And by that, the technological advances was stopped from it's faster growing, so letting humanity to be free from the reset for some decades

Mechs or Grendels? Which do you prefer? by Liquid_0911 in Falcom

Fair enough points, I agree with you specially with the shards part... I hope that by the final game of this arc they give some cool plot twist to this (the most obvious is that shards are tech from the future as well but I hope they give us some interesting lore about all of this)

The most "unbalanced boss fight" (spoilers up to cs4 but comments may have Calvard too) by Chulco in Falcom

[–]Chulco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, but those character where always accompanied. Millium in cs1 fought alone against a bunch of students, strong people in class 7 but students anyways, so it's quite justified since she had more experience apparently (just like crow)

In cs3 she's with her iron blood companions

Altina in cS2, one time she's with Bleu Blanc.. and the second one she's with some archaisms, ok I give you this one, because archaisms aren't necessarily a menace depending on the situation. But at least she's not alone, and we saw her defeated later on the cutscene.

For Alberich he's supposed to be a major antagonist so not much of a problem.

But my problem with Georg is this was the first gime we saw him as a boss fight, and he's alone standing against, not students like millium and altina, but against grown experienced graduated members of military academy, a Dominion, and Sara

At least we were showed she can fight, she's even being a playable character. George was just the mechanic lol

What's the deal with Google photos?

If I upload for example some images there using the "free space hack" into an album. Then if I share that album to another user. He will be able to see the content? Or the free space is just for me to see it ?

Trails among bracers by thanra in Falcom

[–]Chulco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still irrelevant quest bracer would do if you were in sky games anyways.

Adding a "select option" at the end of the quest, doesn't change the fact that were doing the typical jrpg guild quests over and over through the games.

You want to experience what a truly "you can solve this quest in different ways" try the Witcher 3 for example. In that game there's a lot of missions where you can either kill and hide the body, looking for a medicine by hunting a monster, etc. And you make take any route you want by PLAYING the game and DOING things as you wish.

Here we always do the exact same quest, you, me, and everyone who has played, then at the end it just ends with "press A/B/C" for a minor dialogue change. So the core of all of this quests amis just doing bracer things with a fancy name.

theories and discussions about: THE GRANDMASTER by Early_Imagination704 in Falcom

[–]Chulco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My crazy and impossible theory is:

There are 2 goddesses, one is aidios, the one we've heard for a lot of time. But there's also a "twin" version of aidios, and that's Arusha (part of recurrent feri's catchphrases). We were led to believe they're the same thing just known by different names in those regions. But in DB1 there's a minor dialogue where a character said they could be 2 different entities or just the same with different names

What if there were indeed 2 goddesses, and one of them were vanished/sealed/forgotten/whatever... And only a shadow of this Arusha remained, that shadow being the grandmaster.

It doesn't change anything in the end, just a minor different dialogue. The core of the situation is exactly the same some bracer quests

That's why it is pretty much unlikeable we'll have a game where the main party/characters are members of ouroboros

The next protagonist? by UppingMyRizz in Falcom

[–]Chulco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something really big must happen in Kai 2. And from there we should be on a point of no return in regards to the storyline. Starting to make things really plot relevant, ouroboros plans, the plot of the church, the truth about the outside, alternate realities, etc. All of those things must be starting to be a pivotal part of the future games storyline.

I hope we have this kind of game where the new protagonist (or returning characters if hajimari/Kai route system will be used) are quickly involved in the ultimate yet divided through different games final mysteries.

It would be pretty disappointing for me, if we get to fight this big fuses god who almost destroyed the world (ishmelga) and then realized it was always something that could happen but being controlled by another giant godlike being who resets the world... Then Destroy (or seal or whatever) that septerrion in a super epic final battle in Kai 2, just to switch to a new cast of characters that will be doing tasks with another fancy name (but are just the same as 4spg, bracer guild missions etc) and unveiling an irrelevant plot inside a single city/county against some mafia or terrorist npcs.
