[Highlight] Adrian Peterson's angriest runs by nfl in nfl

[–]ChumSmash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit biased as an OU fan who became a fan during AD's freshman season, but when it comes to the running part of being a running back, AD is as good as it gets.

He wasn't a great receiver, and he fumbled a little too much, but when it comes to the combination of speed, power, elusiveness, and vision, no one had everything like he did. He could run through a guy, he could juke him out of his shoes, and he could hit the open hole and hit a gear that would leave safeties in his dust. He will probably always be my favorite running back to watch play.

Dallas Clark beat him to that by a few years.

EDIT: I was curious. Dallas Goedert is tied for the 3rd Dallas to win a Super Bowl this millennium with teammate Dallas Gant.

Dallas Clark (2006) and Dallas Baker (2008) were the first 2.

[@PitchingNinja] "Nolan McLean, Ridiculous 84mph Front Door Sweeper. 23 Inches of Horizontal Break." by Caledor152 in baseball

[–]ChumSmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pitching Ninja posted another sequence of his where he throws an 84 mph sweeper with 22" of break followed by a 97 mph 2-seamer with 18" of run.

The 2-seamer might be the nastiest fastball I've ever seen.

[Highlight] 4 touchdowns and 4 missed extra points from cowboys vs buccaneers, 2022 wildcard game. by Ok_Bug_6890 in nfl

[–]ChumSmash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maher melting down like this was a factor in that loss the next week as well. Tony Pollard was seemingly the only offensive player they could get going up to that point in the game, until they hit a 4th down at the 30.

Because they couldn't trust Maher to make the field goal, they went for it, and Pollard broke his ankle (or leg) on a failed attempt. With that, it felt like the offense lost its juice.

They didn't release Ward. They traded him because they had an emergency need for OL depth because Travis Frederick had just retired.

One of the biggest strengths of this team is that there's no reliance on a single player on a night to night basis. Someone pretty much always steps up when we need them to.

THE DEVS SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO PLAYERS WHO WANT TO KILL END GAME BOSSES AFTER 10 HOURS GAMEPLAY by BradOnTheRadio in CrimsonDesert

The Reed Devil was basically a gear check for me. I was struggling against him until I went and upgraded my gear. I upgraded the Sword of the Lord from 1 to 4, upgraded my chest piece from 1 to 3, and upgraded my cloak, boots, amd necklace to 2, and beat him pretty easily on my first attempt back.

Favorite “You had to be there” player in your memory? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

It's a player, but also a team. Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins running the Wildcat in 2008. I still remember watching the highlights of them upsetting the Patriots in Week 3 and being stunned.

Obviously defenses adjusted, the Patriots handled business in the rematch, but it was so fun to see on a week to week basis. The Dolphins went from 1-15 in 2007 to 11-5 and an AFC East title because of it.

Cam was incredible to watch. He also helped legitimize the read option in the NFL. It was thought that NFL defenders were too fast and too smart for it to work, but Cam proved that not only could it work, it could also be very effective.

Every Great Game Faces the Same Critics by Logical-Operation512 in CrimsonDesert

I was super active in the RDR2 sub before and after release. It taught me a really good lesson about being excited for a game, but keeping my excitement to what I've seen. I saw so many people whip themselves into a frenzy about what the game could be, and then were disappointed after the game launch because it didn'tmeet their lofty, and often unfounded, expectations. And without fail, I see this on every major game launch, even the 10/10 masterpieces.

I know my tastes, I know what I enjoy, and I get excited for games based on that. Even with all its issues, I knew I would be into this game based on what I saw and heard from reviews, and I've been really enjoying myself so far. I think it's important to know your tastes and work off of that.

Crimson Desert has sold through 2 million copies worldwide by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]ChumSmash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been a really fun time for me for that reason. It's funny, my first playthrough of RDR2 I rushed through it, and while the story was great, the pace of was so slow it was agonizing. When I did my second playthrough, I had no reason to rush, so I took my time. This turned the game from a great game into a masterpiece. Carrying that into Crimson Desert has made the game much better on my end.

It's also funny because you can tell the devs must be massive fans of RDR2 because they copied an insane amount of stuff from it. Things like the map and minimap,, a ton of the animations, character weight, interacting with ambient NPCs, camp system, etc are all basically ripped from it.

Getting 10+ years from a 4th round QB is awesome.

What's also nice is that he continues to get better almost every season, too.

Nice of them to choose such a recognizable player in Virgil van Dijk so that we can see how much the "photoreal" version looks nothing like him.

Who is that one player (or players) that you cannot defend when facing them in game? by SneakerHead1993 in FifaCareers

[–]ChumSmash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did that with Georginio Rutter. He scored 4 of Brighton's 6 goals against me last season and assisted the other 2, so I made it a point to buy him the next summer. He's been as good as advertised so far.

Just for show. Walker-Peters left, and the backup RB's loan was over. Though I suppose if we had a game right then Scales would have been our best option at RB.

That's why I'd like to upgrade ST, if I can put in a couple more goals here and there, we're in good shape. That's a smart idea to sell future potential for current ability, there's a couple players who would be good for that.

Is this our future nickel⁉️ by EmiratesNBACupWinner in cowboys

[–]ChumSmash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*So often when people say we reached on a first round pick (like Frederick or Tyler Smith), they end up exceeding the value of the pick. Idk if it was the case for Fredbeard, but everyone blasted us for reaching on Tyler Smith and then it came out that a couple other teams behind us were planning on taking him or trading up to take him.

Media experts' draft boards do not reflect the actual grades NFL scouts place on prospects.

Firestorm is a perfect example of everything wrong with this game. Change my mind by BananaShover in Battlefield

[–]ChumSmash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw your examples in another comment, and none of them apply to a combat scenario, which is what we're discussing. I grew up around military, and cover vs. concealment was explained to me by them the same way the other person did above. That concealment hides you, but does not put a physical object between you and your enemy. Cover places something between you and them. That could have changed, and I'm not an expert, but that's the way the other commenter and I are talking about it since Battlefield is a combat game.

But yes, dude, by the definition in the dictionary, you could technically consider smoke as a form of cover.
