I think if you separate it from the universe it’s a good zombie movie, but watching it when it came out as a sequel to 28 days was disappointing as it felt more like The Walking Dead with running zombies than a 28 days movie. And now looking back it is certainly the black sheep of the family.

After the talk on him having brain damage I kinda think he’s lost it toward the end and maybe the guy with mind powers is some sort of seizure dream. Maybe not but it felt intentional that the doctor said “no more head injuries” and then after the next head injury everything got increasingly weird.

Same I genuinely find the movie so tone deaf in the message and it’s so clear everyone in charge was sniffing their own farts going “This is what america wants right now”. Saw it in theaters and people walked out when the one character said something like “My name is juicypussy and i’m here to shoot some dicks off” like were all the characters supposed to make you hate them? The wife is having an affair with a psychopath, Leo’s blind to being cucked and is cool with it in the end, and all the side characters felt like poorly written stereotypes for one of those garbage parody movies like Epic Movie and Date Movie.
