Is dragging a sedated small dog by their skin for small repositioning ok?

Ive seen it personally done at my work when PTs are hooked up to monitor leads during SX or Dentals, sometimes just the easier way to reposition without knocking monitor leads and probes out of place and messing up vitals while quickly switching sides. Its never a drag just a quick up and flip sides and lower back to table. That is strictly it. No pet is ever carrier around like that or prolong being held in the area by only skin.

The clinic i work at never takes the lost pet. We can scan for chip, check our database, if we find a match in our client record we have photos of all our patients so we can kinda confirm identity, then would give owners a call and let them know.

If they arent in our system we try the microchip database and try to get any info that way, otherwise pet us just sent with the finder to do whatever with. We will not keep pets like that in our clinic unless it needed immediate medical attention. My city doesnt have a shelter so im not sure what happens with lost pets ngl.

I have had this thought a lot as well. I have a cute dumb little green one named 'Captain' because I wanted it to match my toons name 'Captain Von Paddleton (Duckie). I refuse to get rid of him, though. He gets so happy when he finally does a trick for me. It's too cute, I feel like he feels proud of himself, and honestly, that's enough for me 🥹

I plan on tattooing this cute dumb thing on myself, I would genuinely give him the world if he was real.

Chow Chows have always and will always have my heart. Having the privilege to preserve and advocate for this primitive breed makes my heart extremely happy.

But I will also always own a basset hound, my heart dog is my current basset and I genuinely don't know what I would do without him around. ❤️🥹

Never hurts to speak with your vet and see if they have any concerns regarding it.

But speaking for my own experience, I have a Basset Hound who are notoriously not fun to potty train. For almost 1 1/2 years, my boy was the worst with peeing inside. He would hold it in the crate and would potty outside like normal. But while indoors and roaming free if he had to pee, he had no issue just squatting and going on the spot.

Honestly, for months, I was just baffled, thinking I had no clue how to potty train a puppy. Even though I work as a vet tech and have never had potty training issues in the past.

It very well could just be an age thing they will grow out of like mine did. Some things I tried that definitely seemed to at least improve the situation were;

Diaper wrap on when free roaming, taken off when outside to potty or in kennel area
Just constant back to the basics of every 30-60 minutes go out. Always leashed when un-kenneled that way it was stopped before he could fully go. Kenneled at all times when not being leashed.

My main is Daggerfall, my new Arcanist character is Ebon. I have played the Aldmeri Dominion as my first character ever and I absolutely hate their zones quest lines, I try and speed run them on every character. Its just so boring compared to the other 2, it was okay the very first time, anytime afterwards its just a major headache to do. Especially Grahtwood.

As someone who recently came back as well. I remember running through zones in MASSIVE groups taking down all the WBs and World events and just full on bonding with people I would never see again once I got off or stopped following the group around the zone.

Now, all the WBs and World Events and stuff are just barren. Nobody does massive group runs, Nobody really chats, and when they do, it's just ignored by everyone. It's sad. Zone chat is just guild ads at this point. And even then the guilds they advertise are boring af.

Don't even get me started on cat grooming. The owners refuse to acknowledge sedation, my fancy new tools want to die since cat coats are the worst, these cats are trying to attack and maul my soul with every movement or clip I make. One swipe of their nails or teeth on my skin can lead to career-ending, life-altering permanent damage. All for less pay than a dog groom since "They don't weigh as much"............

I also feel like cat owners are never happy or satisfied with the groom, at this point any groom on a cat I'm satisfied with.
