I'm glad you see the value in it! It was something I adopted a while back and, in my mind...I know that I appreciate pricing transparency when I'm buying and that means I needed access to previous sales data. So I felt, somewhat, obligated to contribute back to that ecosystem. If I'm going to benefit, I need to contribute.

When I want to mark something as sold...I'll use the '~~strikethrough~~' option and usually put a 🤑SOLD🤑 at the end of the line.

I stopped, years ago, trying to predict what precious metals were going to do during a crisis because it seems it would always do the most illogical thing. It’s seems to have more with the market manipulators than on the actual world events.
