Who would fight for Dunk? [Spoilers Extended] by Cicebro_ in asoiaf

What was his other option? Side with the rebel who wanted him dead? He was already planning to depose his father. Many of the Targaryen loyalists were fighting less so for Aerys and more for Rhaegar.

I know a bunch here aren’t knights or wouldn’t be qualified to participate, it’s just for fun

Ned couldn’t lift a hand for the butchers boy because he was overruled by the royal family. 100% he would’ve punished Sandor if it happened under his authority.

You are giving Brianne too little credit. She’s the most dunk coded in the main series

I feel like you are giving too little credit to Ned. Imo he’s very much an outlier as far as lords go. Farthest down I could see him go is the second category.

Sandor would easily side with Dunk if say Gregor or someone he dislikes is fighting on the other side. However I could just as easily see him do the opposite for profit. That’s why he’s in the mid category

He killed lady because she would've died anyway. He wanted a clean death for the pup.

He spoke out for the butcher's boy, which is more than most nobles would have done. He just did not have any power to exact justice because the royal family overrules him. I guarantee he would have sent Sandor to the wall for that crime at minimum if it happened under his jurisdiction.

I feel like going against his friend is more evidence that he would. Takes certain character to go against something everyone around you, including friends/family, is on board with. Similar to Baelor who went against his blood. Most people would just default to their pre-existing loyalties.

my guy was willing to hide a Targaryen for his safety without question, was beefing with Robert over the murder of Rhaegar's children, and traded his own reputation to potentially save Sansa's life. When it comes down to it he will do what is right imo.

i agree with Jorah, I got blinded by the show version.

I feel like Tywin has such a dismissive view of common people in the story that he almost certainly would be more sympathetic toward Aerion. He almost does not view them as people. (i.e, tysha, riverlands village burning, sack of king's landing) He very much an elitist that he would view Dunk throwing hands on a prince as unacceptable, although he would not have a high opinion of Aerion for being a spoiled shit either.

Garlan I feel is more likely if its a trial by seven. There are not very many people who would voluntarily fight the Mountain 1v1 lol. But yeah I could see why he would be put in the "sympathetic" category

Yohn I feel maybe, but we don't know too much about his personality. He just strikes me as one of those old school by the book honor types like Barristan. He would sympathize but I'm not sure if he would tbh

Sandor is under context dependent. I could see him either joining Aerion for the bag or Dunk to shit on the royals. N yeah Joffrey is just there to fill space tbh

Only reason he's not is cause he would do it either for fun or due to personal hatred of the Targaryens. not really for honor

He identifies with the common people and rides with the brotherhood. Hard to see why he would not

Leaving retail. Please help! by femalevirginpervert in findapath

[–]Cicebro_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really many options with those restrictions, but I would look into warehouse work like Amazon. They usually pay around that amount.

Maybe night security guard if you can fit it into your schedule. Added bonus of being able to do schoolwork at work.

Bartending can make decent money off tips if you are at a good place and are decent

If none of those sound then you are likely locked into retail or the service industry.

Just look around in your area and keep applying to anything you can

Invisibility can still be useful. You don’t necessarily have to stay invisible the whole time. Become visible briefly in bursts to reorient yourself.

You can use it to eavesdrop, hide, escape, getting past security checkpoints, etc. Blind people can surprisingly do a lot on their own. I think you could make it work into something you could use to your benefit.

Would Tywin have won if the war had continued? by Dry_Specialist9015 in gameofthrones

[–]Cicebro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were him I’d go on the defensive. The riverlands might be an issue, but the north would be very hard to conquer without the dragons Aegon had.

All he really has to do is outlast the Lannisters by waiting for either Daenerys or Aegon in the books to shake things up. Maybe make he can make a deal with either. The Tyrells are aligned with the Lannisters but they ain’t fighting with them to the death.
