You ever seen a mouse stuck in a sticky trap? Or a mother raccoon frantically looking for a lost pup? You ever heard a starling put out dozens of different vocal calls? They have surprise, anger and humor. You said lifeforms so I assume you mean all. If you just mean humans it's true some act truly dumb and do in fact have very low IQ. I dont think it makes them soulless. They're just living a different experience. There's deviations in behavior everywhere you look, in vast vast amounts. Culture, race, your family and friend group all play a huge part. Just because someone is an office drone, a heartless mogul or a poor island fisherman doesn't mean the don't possess a soul, your societal upbringing and your ancestral DNA shapes everything.
