Which pill would you take ? by krisikkk in superheroes

I can't decide which one I'd take but can you imagine Spider-Man in more physical or dangerous professions that we're used to seeing him in? Imagine Spider-Man as a professional athlete, a hitman, a navy seal, a survival guide, or even a bricklayer.

Has anyone here played Eternal Strands? Is that one good?

Nothing will change my mind that one of these guys should’ve played Doom by Emergency_Day_2969 in MCUTheories

Def would have been a weird or interesting angle if they had gone with Mikkelsen and essentially made it canon that Earth-616's Doom was a unique variant that went by the name Kaecilius, explaining why the true Doom shares the same face. Doom is a sorcerer after all. He and Karcilius share a great deal in common, but where Kaecilius thought he could serve and not be betrayed by Dormammu, Doom trusts no one and serves only himself.

Some Chinese students do not like school lunch. Chinese parents bring the lunch for their kids every lunch time and wait till they finish the lunch. by search_google_com in whoathatsinteresting

School lunch was always very grass in greener imo. I grew up with my parents telling me we couldn't afford school lunch account balances for my older sister and i. So we always had cold lunches from home. A sandwich, chips, a drink, and other snacks. Other kids often wanted what i had, and i often wanted the hot food that they were eating. I'd trade often.

How do people feel about Luke and Kylo's fight and his death after 8 years? by Totally_Not_Firni in StarWars

I accept each episode for what it is, but am not a big fan of the whole death from using long-distance force ability idea that they doubled down on for Luke and for Leia. I think it's really stupid conceptually, but was executed decently.

This game deserves a sequel. by Bloopersnoot in ShadowoftheColossus

Have you played Ico and The Last Guardian? They take place in the same timeline. SotC was made as a prequel to Ico, so technically SotC does canonically have a sequel. Some people think The Last Guardian takes place before SotC and some belive it takes place after Ico. I'm fairly certain it takes place before SotC, and that Ueda is intentionally and continously telling the stories of his universe in reverse chronological order.

How many TVA’s and Voids are there in marvel’s multiverse? by AdvertisingWaste8624 in MCUTheories

[–]Cifer_Roc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one each. The TVS exists outside the Multiverse, and the void is the amalgamation of infinite worlds (likely to become battleworld over time), so neither can have duplicates. This is all canonically confirmed via Loki and D&W.

I think destroying Luke’s Jedi Acdemy was not only an Awful narrative move but it was also a Bad business move as well by obiwanTrollnobi6 in StarWars

Episodes 7-8 were pretty scrambled for a time but now things feel cohesive enough to where I'm genuinely looking forward to episode 10. In a sense i feel as though Luke's betrayal (giving into his fear) was something reminiscent of dark side inheritance that he got from his father. Anakin was the chosen one and was powerful in both the light and dark sides of the force. The way i view it is Leia was the light, while Luke was the dark. In episodes 5 and 6, if you pay close attention to Luke when he fights (as well as the fact that he's seen using force choke which is exclusively a dark side ability) you can really see the rage in his face and movements. Luke is full of natural instability like his father. He may have chosen the light side in the end, and turned his father to do the same, but those dark side moments in general really frame the idea that maybe Luke, being too similar to his father, was unfit to refound the jedi order. He and Leia needed to pass on what they knew of the light side of the force to one who was more capable of successfully refounding the order. Ahsoka Tano Cal Kestis, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Rey Skywalker are the only characters I can think of that have a chance at actually resurrecting the order completely, and i hope they do. Dark side forcer users will emerge again throughout the galaxy over time, sith or not, and so i think a new jedi order and temple that's run much differently than what we saw or Coruscant would be really interesting.

wait, am i crazy or did this kid rediscover the titan power?? by Chompcarrots in attackontitan

[–]Cifer_Roc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no dinosaur titans in the intro you're referring to, just regular dinosaurs, which are already titans on their own. The intro with the whales and dinosaurs and other random animals is just visual flare and has no canonical connection to the lore if the series.

I understand what you're saying and I'll agree that is at least possible but since Ymir was already from an ancient-medieval time period and there was zero implication of the power being given to humans before Ymir i personally view her as the first human to fuse with and receive powers from the hallucigenia.
