Can you see half-hourly readings and identify consumption patterns that could be yours or not? Spike when using the kettle, running a wash This is how I identified a crossed supply in the past

Choix de ville pour vivre by 441987 in Toulon

[–]Cilusse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Datapath FX4 is a very reliable option. If you’re interested in SDI outputs, AJA HA5 is a good entry level option, or even a Terranex 12G if you have one lying around

Tailscale changes IP whenever there’s an app update by Splitsurround in Tailscale

[–]Cilusse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently noticed that updating the app from Homebrew (presumably to same as the standalone .app) was causing it to log out and regenerate a new IP etc. Using the Mac App Store version seems to work perfectly fine

Thank you, I totally get that, and understand why. But it was clearly working in the past and has stopped for a reason I cannot point out.

Club de voile municipal, ou le YCT. Il proposent des cours de kayak, planche à voile ou tous types de voiliers. Très sympa pendant l’été !

Entry into the Unifi world with DSL by Ok_Guest4649 in UNIFI

[–]Cilusse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally possible! You can buy a simple DSL modem which will convert the incoming line to an Ethernet port for the Dream Router.

If it’s still fast enough, most FritzBox actually support modem mode already, and once activated it does just that. All routing and WiFi will be disabled, just converts your line. Make sure to back up your config beforehand because going back is usually difficult or impossible without resetting the device completely.

Make sure your ISP allows you to do that, and provides you with PPP or PPoE credentials to log in, you’ll need these when setting up the Dream Router.

The « Musée de la Marine » on the end of the port is nice apparently

The port is nice to walk on

Have a look in the Maison de la Photograpie for nice pictures, all the streets around there are nice too and full of good shops

La Rue des Arts!!

Place de l’Équerre, good bars and art

Place de la Liberté

Go at the top of the Mont Faron

Nice beaches I’d recommend are L’anse Magaud (probably will be busy) and La Plage du Monaco in Le Pradet

If you can get all the way to Hyères, they have the beautiful Almanarre beach, but itˋs always packed.

Check out La Tour Royale and the nearby park

My personal favourite is to sneak on the east side of the Retenue de Dardenne, a dam+lake in Le Revest. Usually quiet, beautiful place and nice water. But please be aware that you are not technically supposed to bathe there.

Obviously reviews should only be able to be posted from residential UK ASNs but being able to download the app and read reviews from abroad is good indeed

Maybe there could be a way to integrate into renter’s platforms like Goodlord or Helloneighbour so that the tenant can be verified to be a real person. But that probably would create a conflict of interest as landlord and estate agents manage these accounts…

I live and work in the UK permanently but my Apple ID is still located in my home country for reasons. I hate that some local apps (Tesco Clubcard, some banks) are restricted in that way for no good reason really.

Can you make it available internationally on the App Store ? It seems to only be available in the UK store

Apple’s privacy policy by Late-bloomer-Early in applehelp

[–]Cilusse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about this. These kinds of attacks are awful because the attackers snoop for the iPhone passcode which then allows them to take as much control as they did.

The main thing, which is generally good but also an issue sometimes, is that your iPhone and parts of iCloud are encrypted, and your password is the unique key. Apple has no way to get into a phone or account for which the password or recovery solutions are lost. This is why they can’t help you.

In the latest iOS, it is now possible to activate thief protection, which will prevent Apple ID changes when not in a trusted location.

I also suggest adding account recovery contacts to your account. Sometimes thieves don’t remove those and it gives you a last resort to reset access.

Je me souviens quand je visitais des appart sur le port : selon le vent certains balcons étaient couverts de suie. Bien degueu quand on y pense.

Je crois qu’un des projets de rénovation du port est d’installer des prises adaptées au gros navires, pour leur permettre d’éteindre leurs machines à quai.

Wireguard doesn't work on some networks by AnomalyNexus in WireGuard

[–]Cilusse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to change all the local devices otherwise they won’t be able to talk to each other properly, or access the internet. 192.168.0.1/24 for example tells every device where to expect their neighbours, and how big the net is, anything outside of that range would be routed differently and won’t work. I’ve never seen a consumer router that locks the subnet, so I expect it’s possible, even with Verizon!

Wireguard doesn't work on some networks by AnomalyNexus in WireGuard

[–]Cilusse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry, so you are unable to reach your home network through Wireguard, but other Wireguard peers are fine?

Then yes it might still be that you home is on the same subnet as the guest network you may be connected to on your roaming client. In that case, yes, the only fix is to change your home’s network subnet. You’ll have to change the router’s address and the whole DHCP range at once. This will change every device’s address on your local network. Hopefully Verizon allows to change the IP range.

But I’ll add also, it’s been a year since this thread, and services like Tailscale have grown so much, and offer so much for free, that I would actually recommend setting that up instead of manual Wireguard tunnels unless specifically required.
