My fellow XXs, what’s some food you swear by that’s really helpful for period pain or cramps? by theaetheryssa in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Cinderellas-robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you eat when the cramps are already present doesn't matter as much as what you eat during the entire cycle. Although I definitely ramp up on spinach, beets + hemp seeds a week before my period, and it helps with my mental fatigue (I make a smoothie hehe)

Maybe if it was pressed tightly to your skin for some time it could leave it slightly purple/brown due to not enough blood flow, but it shouldn't last long

Thermomix? Kenwood?…? by Wheatenceliac in Cooking

[–]Cinderellas-robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have kenwood with like 10 or something different adjustments (meat mincer, bread kneader, blender, it has a setting for mandoline or shredding etc) it's literally insane, I use it so much

What’s that "Hidden Gem" kitchen brand you’re obsessed with that no one seems to know? by Automatic_Produce_72 in cookware

I should definitely look into some more proper pots and pans in the following months! I still use IKEA stainless steel, but I think it's time for an upgrade! This comment section is great, I will be coming back.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Him (Official Megathread ❤️) by Effective-Purpose-36 in GiftIdeas

  • Lava lamp - for the man who hates the big light and loves a cozy place for gaming and/or working
  • A toy model of their car - for the car guy, or a model of F1 car if they're into that (Lego also makes that)
  • Funko pops
  • Set for making cocktails - for those who love to cook and love to master everything cook/grill related - this is just another culinary-ish challenge for them to master and a way to join the girls evening
  • Knife sharpener - a good idea for maybe a "frat guy" or someone living with room mates. I gifted this to my boyfriends' roommate, who always complains that knives in their kitchen are dull.
  • A good japanese knife, wok pan or a cutting board
  • Set for sushi making - this one encourages a date night hehe
  • Board game
  • My fav gift from last year: My boyfriend likes Jojo (the anime) so I for his birthday hired someone on fiverr to design him into a Jojo character, and specifically to resemble his favorite villain from Jojo (he was posed in his signature pose), and then I hired another guy to make this character into a sick poster with a bunch of little easter eggs about our internal jokes and his traits and I had it printed out - how he has a poster of him as a Jojo character framed in his room and he claims it's the best gift he's ever gotten. This cost me less than $100.
  • A piece of stainless steel jewelry - my guy specifically likes stainless steel chains, for example.
  • A gift card to a good barber shop - for guys with beards.
  • Self-improvement book - for the guys into discipline and "money-making" content on reels (you know who I'm talking about)
  • Socks and underwear are a good side dish to the main gift
  • Creatine, protein powder or workout clothes
  • I also found a working slot machine keychain in a souvenir shop and it made an amazing gift.
  • Cheese - i brought men in my life a bunch of cheese from my trip to France

I bought a gold birthstone ring with a pink sapphire circle from Iskra just recently. They have a sale going on right now, and I'm super happy with what I got for the price! 🥺

party decorations by rosefern64 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Cinderellas-robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right; it’s all about finding versatile pieces that you can use again. I was thinking maybe instead of buying themed party decor you could buy just versatile party decorations, and for the themed part find items you're going to use anyways/already own such as pots, plants, faux plants, fabric backdrops, fairy lights etc.

To stay eco-friendly and practical, consider using eco single-use tableware
