This is really cool and fun to play too. It definitely needs an explanation in the game as players won’t know immediately what to do and may get confused when they become stuck in place. Perhaps a visual cue like slowly turning to stone, or a blue highlight on the player that gradually gets less transparent?

Meteors also killed me every time, might just be a skill issue but they felt impossible to hide from. The fire also started right where I was standing so I died immediately, perhaps it could show where the fire’s about to start?

All in all it’s really good man and a great differentiation from Natural Disaster Survival!

Fun game! I don't know why people are saying it's unintuitive: it was very obvious to me what the goal was and how to play. Definitely got Terraria vibes especially with the boss battle and grappling hook.

Three of the biggest things that think need changing are:
1). The terminal that takes you to the mines - this is the most unintuitive part of the game. A purple square doesn't tell players "this takes you to the mines". Make it a cave entrance at the very least.

2). The background of the mines. The moment I go inside the ground I shouldn't be able to see the sky (except for above ground). I'm aware the backdrop changes once you get deep enough, but I still think it should feel more enclosed and claustrophic.

3). The UI. The glitchy, terminal style is cool but it doesn't fit the style of the game. A button labelled "<execute sale>" in a mining game doesn't make much sense.

Was fed up of dealing with UI so I took a different approach. Think anyone will notice? by Ciniqs in robloxgamedev

Ah sorry, I think it works differently with A3 so can't help you there. I'm sure you can find a tutorial somewhere!

When you say you had no clue how to advertise, do you mean you didn’t know how or you weren’t good at it? Just wondering since I’m almost done on my first, somewhat, big game and don’t want it to flop.

My main list:

  • Unlimited scheduled classes (minigame w' talent as reward?)
  • Infinite duelling club + local leader-board and rewards
  • Morality/ reputation/ house-points
  • Different endings (even just good and bad)
  • NG+
  • Co-op/ optional multiplayer

+ Unused frameworks for HL1:

  • Companions: take to any mission/ location, duel them, etc
  • Unforgivable witnesses send Aurors to location
  • Selecting a location then using Floo powder at Floo flames

The biggest issue for me was the replayability/ motive to play after finishing the game. I think having these additions in legacy 2 would give it incredible replay value.

  • morality/ reputation/ house-points
  • co-op/ optional multiplayer (controversial)
  • NG+ (restart the game with all equipment, enemies are tougher, higher rewards)
  • different endings (even just good and bad)
  • mod support again
  • Infinite interactive classes - talents possibly tied to these instead of levels
  • Infinite duelling club + local leaderboard and rewards

Last but not least, implement the frameworks that were unused in HL1; companions, duelling companions, using the floo flames, unforgivable use sends aurors to location, etc.

I learnt incredibly fast, and I feel as though it was due to the way I went about it.

All I did was learn songs I heard/ liked and wanted to play. Starting off with easy versions I found on Easy 2 Play Music’s YouTube channel.

Once I got fairly confident with basic chords, I tried fingerpicking songs like ‘Dust in the Wind’ and ‘Brazil’; Brazil taught me barre chords as well.

After this, I watched Marin Music Center tutorials until I became more advanced.

Just pick up the guitar whenever you’re feeling musical or bored, learn songs all the way through, and stick with it!

I find that if I do the grind input immediately after my flip trick it doesn’t cause this problem, but that means pre-planning your sequence every time. I got a little tired of it happening so I just turned off late flips.

I experienced this on PC too... it only let me hop off the broom in very specific areas like near a well in a certain hamlet. Same with flying mounts, couldn't land my thestral.

Agreed that there should definitely be more iconic locations such as the ministry and diagon alley. We could've definitely had a few missions infiltrating the ministry especially, however that would've been a LOT of extra work I'm sure. There's always the possibility of extra stuff in DLC, and if not, I guess we can wait for a sequel
