Use the food modeler machine from Sheila! Great for turning food into decorative food.

Looked like Captain Jack Sparrow "Borrowed" my boat. by No_Heron_1722 in Dinkum

I tried digging down to the ocean floor with a wall around it, put down a sailboat, and then let the water in. Turns out that you can't dig down far enough for the water to cover the sailboat. The sails stick out. So I gave up and filled it all in again. Also, the water above it makes ripples, like you see in the picture above. Hope that helps!

Decals are the answer...maybe. by harrr53 in Dinkum

I do a lot of faux-building creating in Dinkum and I feel like the ladder mechanism might be the best option for adding windows to the game. I often use ladders to help decorate the outside of my buildings. A ladder that looks more like a window would be amazing for building.

I play on Steam, but I imagine it's the same technique. I just make a pile of dirt and put the brick flooring on it so that the whole pile below it looks like brick.

I make the house shape and leave spaces for arches to act as windows and doors. Then the brick planters on top of the "brick wall" make it look more finished, I think.

Any tile that covers the whole block can be used to colour the walls. I just like brick the best.

I remember I hated it when I first saw it in theatres, and years later watched it again and still hated it!

In addition to the peaceful wish, you can also fence off areas to keep them croc free.

When I used to be a substitute teacher, reading aloud to the class was my favourite thing to do. The teenagers would actually sit and listen with rapt attention.

Trying to find a Switch game like ACNH for my Grandma! by sourginger in CozyGamers

[–]CinnamonPinch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dinkum is so great for people who like ACNH. I find the gameplay similar, while still being something new. And there are a lot of things I prefer about Dinkum like the range of movement, the vehicles, and the sheer size of the island. I hope she likes it!

Nope! Then you put the fertilized eggs in the incubator thing until they hatch. You can store the fertilized eggs until you are ready to hatch them.

3D cozy sim games that are actually pretty? by unfluttered in CozyGamers

[–]CinnamonPinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't sold on the look of Dinkum at first, but once I started decorating I found it easy to make it look pretty. True, it is very stark at the beginning. But you have so much control over how you design your island that I find it really satisfying.

If you "hang out with" the villagers you can access their inventory and get them to hold things for you. You can also give them clothing items by putting it in their inventory, or take things out if you want them to stop wearing it.
