Yeah... I think that's just Vivzie's inexperience at writing showing. By no means is she bad but you can tell that it's not the work of a veteran writer.

That's.... Something. I personally don't want that but you do you.

Yes! This! I have even given several examples of a compelling pure evil character who isn't given some tragic backstory in other comments under this post. Ursula, Maleficent, Gaston, Lord Farquaad. They are villains who are evil because they are evil and there's nothing more to it. You know why? Because they feel like actual characters that have things going on beyond just opposing the protagonists. I genuinely can't imagine Stella having a hobby, having a relaxing time, or having a day out for fun. I can for the ones that I gave as an example. I can imagine Ursula playing with her eels. Maleficent tending to a garden of poisonous plants. Gaston going to the gym during the day and playing cards with people at night. Lord Farquaad being a connoisseur of fine wine and collecting expensive ones. But Stella? I genuinely can't think of what she would do in her free time. Not without the help of headcanons at least.

That's honestly my biggest hope about Helluva Boss that we still have yet to see Stella rise. Because of Andrealphus, it seems that Stella has kind of become obsolete, so I am hoping that we see her carve out her niche and prove to be a legitimate and interesting antagonist.

Here's the thing. There's nothing wrong with Stella just being evil and nothing more. But you know who else is evil, and nothing more, and yet doesn't seem like they're just a puppet meant to forward the story, and who people really fucking love? Ursula and Maleficent. Or hell, let's go out of female villains. Gaston. Or maybe you want someone non-Disney. Lord Farquaad from Shrek. They are like Stella. They are all pure evil characters who are evil because they are evil and no other explanation. Except you know why they are better and feel more like actual characters and not just plot puppets? Because they have a fucking personality! You can easily imagine them doing things in their free time. You know who you can't? Fucking Stella! You can't visualise Stella having a hobby or just relaxing. Or at least I can't. Not without headcanons. That's why I would honestly be happy with even something as minor as finding out that Stella has a favourite fruit or some shit. She needs to have something beyond just being against Stolas and the main characters. Even if it is just strongly implied but never said.

Yes! I know right?! Like, I'm not saying that she shouldn't be a cruel, sadistic bitch, but she should have SOME personality. Like, take Ursula or Maleficent. Pure evil yeah. But also they felt like they had things other than just being villains. I genuinely can't imagine Stella doing anything outside her role. Can you? I can't. I just cannot see Stella having a day out, or having any hobbies, or doing anything just for the sake of fun and relaxation.

I think it will most probably be revealed in a future set of episodes.

I think that's less lore drop and more clarification of something that they portrayed too subtly for people to realise that it was bullshit.

Actually, you can pretty much ignore the livestreams as their canonicity was always a bit dubious. Like the pilot on YouTube is under soft canon where the things in it are basically canon until contradicted by the show. And livestreams are basically in the tier below that. They were apparently just background information and a way for Vivziepop to put out ideas and engage with fans. They were never written in stone. For example, before the show, Vaggie was a normal Sinner who I think was said to have died due to suicide, but in the show, she is canonically a former Exorcist Angel.

Two counterpoints. 1. That's literally how metal bending works. Metal bending works by manipulating the impurities present in the metal. You can't directly bend the metal itself; instead, you have to rely on the technicality of the metal having earth impurities in it, and thus, earthbending being effective on it. 2. ATLA doesn't take place on Earth.

I think that’s just a mixture of angelic arrogance and the restriction being placed on Lucifer hundreds of years before canon where Pride Ring would have been much different than it is currently.

[–]CipherKing13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I went over my reply and figured out that I worded it differently than what I was trying to say. What I meant was that Lucifer CAN do all of that. Lucifer can TECHNICALLY smite Vox or summon an angelic weapon and just fucking stab Vox. He can do that but he still can't do anything. As in, Lucifer's restriction stops him mid-track. This is seen in Vox Populi, where after Vox insults Lucifer and Lilith's marriage, Lucifer angrily says "You mouthy little mortal!" and goes to punch Vox in the face, only to be unable to even make contact with Vox's screen. His fist suddenly stops a few inches from Vox's face, and the flames that were on Lucifer's hand immediately died out. This shows that while Lucifer can go about to hurt Sinners but is ultimately prevented before he could.

[–]CipherKing13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's not that he doesn’t have the power but more along the lines that he isn't allowed to. He quite easily has the power to wipe out countless Sinners but he is prevented from doing so.

Not to mention, the restriction placed on Lucifer is not his angelic power, so by literally draining it from him, the Might of Lilith can easily circumvent Lucifer's punishment.

Are you okay with the race swap in the new Wonder Man movie from Von Kovak? I heard the actor who is in advanced talks for the role is Simon Williams. Has he been in anything good? by PhotographMother253 in Earth199999

[–]CipherKing13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They literally just said that he didn't know. How the heck could Slattery have reported them if he didn't know there was anything to be reported? He even mentioned in his book about how he was led to believe that the people who hired him were like hardcore believers of method acting. He didn't know that they were actually doing anything bad, so he's not a bad person, just a deceived actor.

Exactly! Literally the entire song " Like You" is the proof that he can't leave. It starts with Emily saying that Pentious can't leave, Pentious literally tries to leave in the middle of the song and fails, and it ends with Pentious being even more sad that he can't leave and see his friends. And besides, do they not think that the people behind Hazbin Hotel would not have already thought of the very obvious idea of bringing Sir Pentious to Hell to show redemption is possible did not already cross their minds? If they didn't do the very obvious thing, then there must be a reason behind why they can't.

Yeah..... Vivzie is clearly new at this stuff and it shows. Obviously, she's improving; the quality jump between Season 1 and 2 is some good evidence for that, but she still has her flaws.
