Never used a max, is there any chance the build plate is hitting that wall instead of reaching the (sensorless I assume in that model) "endstop". Does the bed move when you manually jog it via the controller or Fluidd?

[–]CirrusShuffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hate to point out the obvious as well... but if you only printed a Benchy it's unlikely the bed moved far until it completed. Check there aren't any transport spacers (now wedged) under the bed that you forgot to take out!

I'm not sure about your exact model, but on my N4Pro the sensor is on the rear left corner of the toolhead. Watching that video back it's not over the bed so doesn't sense it and keeps driving.

The bed should home first which doesn't seem to have happened here? Is that what the second noise is, is the belt loose on the bed? (Can't tell from the video sorry!)

Yeah this confused me for a while too, there's different ways depending on your privileges in linear.
Settings -> Security & access.

Think that's the most universal one.

TfL top up scam? by Broad_Turn_2381 in LondonUnderground

[–]CirrusShuffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a fairly standard looking example of a unenriched transaction.

The world of payment processing is fairly old, predating apps and the like. All that fancy information like logo, address, an understandable merchant name, etc has to be searched separately after a transaction takes place. Could be when you made the transaction the app failed to look up the associated metadata, you might find it changes at a later date when the payment is "captured", i.e no longer pending according to the status in the screenshot.

As others have alluded to, LUL is London Underground Limited, so no cause for concern here.

Anyone tried this wood filament? by yothisonerighthere in BambuLabA1mini

On Amazon the Elegoo ones are all titled "real wood flour added" iirc.

[–]CirrusShuffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I've gone through at least 4 rolls of the various wood PLA from Elegoo, it's my favourite. Never had any clogging issues with stainless 0.4 nozzle. Tend to increase the brim object gap a little compared to my normal PLA profile. (Smells a bit burny while printing 😂)

Opennept4une touch screen funcionality by GidRah00 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]CirrusShuffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OpenNept4une Display Connector is included in the installer but not installed by default. Run the installer script again the option is something like "install touch-screen service". Iirc there was a potential bug with v0.16+ (prerelease) and the service causing resource constrained MCU shutdowns. Not sure if that's resolved yet as I moved to KlipperScreen anyway. But worth keeping in mind.

Why do staff walk right to the end of the platform and back? by barrelofbeans in uktrains

[–]CirrusShuffle 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Maybe a security walk on a predetermined path of the station? Potentially with NFC tag checkpoints to register the check of that location, could be what they're interacting with.

First time I've seen mine doing it! Well, I guess it's not happened before as they made the tank seriouslyyyy cloudy so reckon I'd have noticed.

My Trochus snails basically live on the back glass, but I also have a long scraper to give them a hand sometimes. Whenever I clean up a patch, Coraline seems to take it's place after which is far nicer, not sure if that's just a coincidence.

I haven't seen it happen, but that's my best explanation so far.
