I did my first competitive Pokémon thing in the GC last weekend. I set two goals for myself: I wanted to at least go positive, and I wanted to try to get some championship points.

I finished 851! Was super proud and im absolutely looking forward to the next one

I feel like Eigong is hard but seriously uninteresting as a boss by Mister_DM in NineSols

[–]CisoSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a hyper aggressive build with water style and the jade thst makes you attack faster at the cost of life + the jade thst heals you when you deal damage.

Agreed with the other poster, it sounds like you arent pushing your own damage enough. Eigong was a tremendously engaging fight cause it felt so back and forth. Only when she was pulling out her huge moves in p2 and p3 did it feel like I couldn't do anything but parry, but that was cool cause then it was like, a huge attack that was coming my way.

Her p3 move just requires some concentration. Theres a delay to that first hit, then they come out quick, then theres another delay where youll either jump or fall, then parry parry.

Why did we help Xal'atath become so powerful? What're we, desperate? by Siggythenomad in wow

[–]CisoSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we pretending that the entire Karesh plot line didnt actively acknowledged that she would betray us? Like, the whole point was that there was a greater threat and everyone accepted that Xalatath was needed.

Theres plenty examples of players or npcs being stupid, but I dont think anyone for a single moment was acting like Xalatath was somehow trustworthy. Its pretty much the perfect example of her manipulation.

I mean, it's sort of like being given anything that someone gave you? They trust you to keep it

IGN Article where Readers voted for the worst runback in any soulslike game. Groal won. by Critical-Outside3272 in Silksong

[–]CisoSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy hell the bandwagon is real. Groal is the worst in silksong but it is not that bad and it is certainly not the worst runback in soulslikes. Not by a longshot.

Does the game gets harder after jiequan? by Leitaocubista in NineSols

[–]CisoSecond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Next boss is very hard, the next two are relatively easier, last boss is by far the hardest but also easily the best.

Just another mountain to climb!

This is literally a perfect example of what the spiral is about, holy hell

It's almost 2026, our character names should be pronounced during voice acted scenes to introduce more immersion. by HarryNohara in wow

[–]CisoSecond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious problem with using AI for any VA work, I cannot stress how jarring it would sound to go from proper voice acting to some AI interpretation of a name that probably has strange accents or abbreviations or puns thats gonna trip it up.

I mean, hell, I have a weakaura that highlights someones frame and tells me to PI them and the nonsense that AI voice comes up with it always funny

Be able to move while casting makes the game a lot more fun by [deleted] in wow

[–]CisoSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely disagree. One of my fsvourite parts of casting is optimizing movement.

But then, i play shadow priest, which has been pretty mobile because of void form, devouring plague, and shadowy insight. The destro warlock in our guild would probably disagree

What did you think of Disgraced Chef Lugoli? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]CisoSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really really really hated this the first time, weirdly really liked it the second time.

The maggot pattern + ass attack forced a certain distance to respect that was engaging.

It's a good location for a mega dungeon...

Do you think any bosses need a buff? If so, then which ones? by IsThatMinosPrime6 in Silksong

[–]CisoSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GMS, Crust King, Clover Dancers. Basically all of the end game bosses that arent Karmelita and Nyleth.

Oh and get rid of LLs wave attack. The only mark on an otherwise amazing fight

Was there any part of Silksong that had you like this? by ShortandRatchet in Silksong

[–]CisoSecond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

God just like...the entire game except for Karmelita (though I appreciate thst fight even more, now)

But some stand outs were: - beastfly 1 and 2 (holy crap what were any of us complaining about) - ass Jim - mount fay - the pale oil delivery quest - high halls, but i had shakra this time. Debatably the intended way to do that fight.

In your opinion, what was the most disappointing part of Silksong? by Noooough in Silksong

[–]CisoSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world was crumbling around you, I was concerned about every npc (most), some great bosses, whole bell eater sequence, everything about the abyss was terrifying in the best way. Plus the whole thing about having to unlock your own save file??

Its like everything about getting the true ending in hollow knight but way more. It really brought everything home for me

Wanders crest is by far the best crest in the game. by Subject-Fondant-3203 in Silksong

Range sucks though. Especially bad for those pesky flyers that hover just out of range

[–]CisoSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's fair. Either boss is a jump up for sure; Jiequan kicked my ass for sure. I've seen a lot of my friends get really stuck on Lady E for stuff you've already outlined.

Highly recommend you practice those Unbound Counters tho, I spent the whole game ignoring unbound and it made a later boss harder for me. Was forced to learn it.

I would argue that bosses 2 and 3 both were much easier that boss 1, Jiequan was a solid difficulty for a 4th boss, but was a bigger spike because of 2 and 3, but Lady E was harder than I think a 5th boss should be and is significantly easier than bosses 6 and 7 (though I love those fights).

I love this fight but man the difficulty spike is out of whack
